Mitt Romney the Creep?

When Mitt Romney was a college freshman, he reportedly told fellow residents of his Stanford University dorm that he sometimes disguised himself as a police officer, when he lived in Michigan, and pulled people over (video below).

Romney's father, George Romney, was the Governor of Michigan at the time. George Romney's security was uniformed troopers and it is believed that's how young Mitt borrowed the uniform.

TV producer Robin Madden, a former friend of Romney, told the Washington Post that Romney "told us that he had gotten the uniform from his father. He told us that he was using it to pull over drivers on the road. He also had a red flashing light that he would attach to the top of his white Rambler. We thought it was all pretty weird. We all thought, ‘Wow, that’s pretty creepy.’ And after that, we didn’t have much interaction with him.”

Super minimal in creepiness, compared to another illegal 'prank' (assault).

My only concern is this could be evidence Romney has a sense of humor and actually was a youth once. I always though Republican leaders just subdivided like all virus :)

We CAN NOT jump to conclusions here. This is a single story from what appears to be one individual so who knows the real truth....

That said......

All the stuff I hear about the guy just makes me question HIM. Not his policies, not his political party, not his stance on issues.

This kind of stuff, the dog on the car, the Bain "I worked there but I didn't but I did", the lack of tax records, the gay teen haircut incident, the impersonation of a police officer, etc.... this stuff makes me question Romney the man.

This incident may turn out to not be true (I sure hope that is the case) but either way, the fact that these kinds of stories are out there gives me pause. If only 50% of the these incidents are true, hell, if only 25% of them are true, I don't think he is fit to run the country.

How did this dude get to be the presumptive GOP candidate?

And, as this stuff starts to come out from under the wood pike it makes me only half jokingly wonder if he is going to really end up as the GOP candidate when the fall rolls around.

Just because he has a past history of getting off on abusing authority doesn't mean he's unsuitable to be president!

It sounds like something a freshman might make up in a misguided attempt to impress people.

I don't necessarily care for Romney but as things go, that's a pretty minor youthful indiscretion.

That's nothing. Obama's been impersonating the president for the last four years.

So, no proof or evidence. Just hearsay? Sounds like mud slinging to me. All of this mud slinging 5 months before an election just reeks of desperation on the part of those slinging the mud. Which to me is a "Tell" of just how weak you actually feel your candidate is, deep down inside yourself, you know, in the part of you that you would never tell anyone else about.

After all, if you think that you can win on substance you don't need to sling mud in an effort to distract do you? In fact it would be counterproductive to distract from such a strong message. This is why many campaigns don't devolve into mud slinging, it's because most of the time it ends up reflecting more upon the sling-er than the sling-ee, and not in a positive way.

There is a much clearer and concise way to say this.

"**** You guy Mitt went to college with"

Pretty much rules out all presidents back to, but not including, George "I won't be king" Washington.

Good thing for Mitt that he didn't run into any real criminals. Police work is very dangerous, even more so for idiot kids who have no idea what they're doing.
