Hi, all!

I was referred to this chap during a discussion with someone on the Richard Dawkins Foundation forum. He called it "evidence" that there is a God (and, indirectly, that Islam is the one true religion (or sth.)).

My opinion is that (same as conspiracy theories) people will often grasp at straws to understand events, in this case his followers operating under the premise of him being a prophet, tend to grasp at those straws to prove his prophecies. Whereas if I were to utter such convoluted nonsense, I'd probably end up wearing a very different kind of jacket than I currently do.

Probably true. He looks like a bit of an eastern Nostradamus to me.

Those prophecies sound like the Nostradamus Quatrains on the sci-fi show First Wave with Kade Foster and Crazy Eddie.
