Michael Moore Documentary: Planet Of The Humans

Here are a few Debunking videos:
From the YT channel "Now You Know" which is primarily focused on Electric cars (they are huge Tesla fans but they cover bikes and many other things)

From the YT channel "Just Have a Think" which is focused on energy and global warming

I've watched the pro-nuclear documentary "Pandora's Promise" and many other pro-nuclear videos that focus on the shortcomings of renewable energy. Renewable energy is far better than fossil fuels but nuclear is clearly has the lowest ecological footprint (taking all things into account from mining, footprint, to waste disposal) and is the safest but put that aside for a moment. At least those pro-nuke films have an alternative to what they are criticizing (being nuclear energy) and none of them are anti electric cars.

I'm not going to argue pro or anti-nuclear energy or the pros and cons of renewable energy right now to make my point:
What is the message of this film? What is the takeaway? Renewables won't work. Electric cars won't work. But what will? I think the only message of this movie is either embrace genocide or some other form of population control or go eat a gun. That is the message. What alternative does this movie offer us? None. It is a message that humans are evil, there are too many of us and the movie explicitly is Luddite and says that any technology we develop only makes things worse.
It isn't just the untruths, it is the entire mindset of this film that drives insane: That human ambition and human ingenuity itself are the problems. It is a misanthropic nihilist philosophy that doesn't resonate with me at all. We can and should talk about how to solve our problems, and disagree but it is going to take our hard work, it is going to take technology, and it is going to take our ambition. This film rejects that notion.

Sadly, a misanthropic Nihilist outlook is considered cool and hip by a lot of young people.
