Michael Jackson's Kids

No idea. I tend to view a lot of Bob's arguments as coming from another world anyway, so there may be a version of MiB II where that applies.

Dennis Rodman got mention in MIB1 as an alien.
That almost figures.

Given that for so many years a lot of racist rhetoric included accusations and claims that Blacks were sub-human I think it would have been appropriate to have included the reference.

It doesn't help that Bob is Mormon and for years Mormons didn't allow Blacks to hold the priesthood as Blacks were held to have sinned in the pre-existence. There is some very disquieting and ugly rhetoric from Mormon leaders that can be found on the net.

I should hasten to add that IMO most Mormons are decidedly not racist though in the past they have been very racially naive and thoughtless. I suspect that this is improving.

I don't get the joke. It seems to me at best in poor taste.

Uh, before his death jokes about how Michale Jackson had been taken over by a Alien Life from were pretty common.

IMHO, the kids to go to the relatives best able to raise them, regardless of race. This "are they black or are they white" stuff is stupid. Ask The President about that.

I admit ,though, to some curiosity about whom the third Kid's mother is. I suspect a LOT of reporters are trying to find out right now.

As for the Law, California law generally heavily favors the biological mother unless really strong evidence shows up she is a unfit parent. And the Health of the kid's Grandmother is not good, and that could play a part.
Just Keep Joe Jackson away from the Grandkids, though........

RandFan: I know that's why you were bothered by it, and I don't fault you for being so. I initially thought of being offended, but then considered how off-the-wall I considered some of his other arguments, and figured there was some kind of joke in there that wasn't meant as a racial epithet (I just didn't know what it was). I'm just giving the benefit of the doubt.

Cool, thanks guys. This bit of pop culture escaped me. It can happen. :)

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/new...e-Rowe-confesses-he-was-not-their-father.html

Lots of news sites are quoting this article today.

MICHAEL Jackson's two eldest kids face a tug-of-love battle after their mum Debbie Rowe confessed he was not their father.
In an astonishing interview Debbie - mother of Prince, 12, and Paris, 11 - said she was artificially inseminated by an anonymous donor.

And she told how, despite Jackson's death, she does not WANT custody of the children and NEVER expects to see them again.

Just saw Joe Jackson's interview on CNN and his appreance at the BET Awards.
Please, keep this guy 100 miles away from the kids....

I'm going to go with the theory that Michael hated being black, and wanted his kids to look at white as possible. Hence he had genetic engineers make sure that the makeup of the sperm/eggs would lead to the whitest looking kids possible.

Of course I am not a geneticist, and haven't taken a biology class in a decade, so maybe that isn't possible.

I like to think with enough money and the right scientists/country Michael could get whatever he wants.

Don't know much about genetics, do you?

Depends on what you mean. I know that it's theoretically possible to manipulate genes to get what you want, but at this point we don't have the technology/knowhow to do this, except through experiments in fruit flies and such.

But no, I don't know a lot because I am not that interested in it.

Michael Jackson was not the biological father.
I love being right.
(Report from Melborne)

Now I think he was a wack job. What were the kids to him? Accessories?

They also say he wore a wig and was almost completely bald

They also say there were pills in his stomach.

Oh yeah, and he was anorexic.

Comparing the health of MJ to Mick Jagger's, I'd say there's a strong argument for jogging and lettuce.

I'm going to do my best to go the Mick Jagger way.

Michael Jackson was not the biological father.

Perhaps their godfather, Mark Lester, is also their biological father.
Here's a picture of him as Oliver Twist:

I wish the kids the best of luck, I think they are going to need it.

It's the same story with my mother and her sister. Mom is redhaired and green eyed with pale skin. Her sister has black hair, green eyes and could easily be mistaken for a Gypsy or for a Latina, though she is 100 percent Caucasian. Their brother looks exactly like our aunt and their mother- Mom was an anomaly and was often told by her siblings that she was adopted. To this day, people don't believe that her sister is actually her sister.

Still, there's a difference between an olive skinned white person and a somewhat lightskinned African American.

As someone pointed out on one of those links, one of Jackson's brothers has a white partner and their child is clearly mixed race.

What I was never able to figure out was how, in Roots, Chicken George had a light-skinned black mother and a redneck white father, and somehow had darker skin than either of them.

Mother Nature is a MMAAADD scientist!

One rumour has it that Macaulay Culkin was the donor...

I’ve heard about that rumor also.

I think it’s unlikely though. The oldest boy has brown eyes. Caulkin and Rowe both have blue eyes but Lester has brown eyes. So while that doesn’t make it impossible for Caulkin to be the sperm donor, it does make it that much more unlikely. (Usually blue eyes are recessive and brown eyes are dominant.)

ETA: Sigh, it really bothers me that I know as much about the Jackson "news" as I do. I better be careful, before I know it I'll be a Britney Spears expert too. :eye-poppi

It's impossible to change one's skin color the way MJ wished, but there's more than enough "doctors" out there who would cater to his every desire, no matter how weird.
QED.

I've seen pictures of Michael without makeup, and he had vitiligo. And in his face, it was easier to go darker at first, but then paler later in his life.

http://floacist.wordpress.com/2007/06/10/vitiligo-photos-michael-jackson/

He was also diagnosed with lupus, which was in remission.

He did do cosmetic surgery, both for necessary reasons (the broken nose, etc.) and for superficial reasons (trimming the nose down).

And then he caught on fire in the Pepsi commercial.

He wore wigs thereafter, and I'm sure that his frequent surgeries after still had a medically necessary component to them. It is most probable to me that he was doing the best with what he had to work with after a couple of bad decisions, a couple of bad diseases, and a couple of bad accidents.

Whether he's the biological father or not - he could be, or maybe he's not. But he is their father.

I just pray to God that he's got a will. Please, Michael Jackson, have a will. I'll reconsider all the evidence that he was a child molester or pedophile if he just please has a will. PLEASE.
