Wasn't 99% of stuff pretty rumorific especially when this thread first started?
We're all here because we're interested in discussing the possibilities of where this case will go, and none of us apparently has the patience to wait until a year from now when we can look at the final, official record of everything before doing so.
It's a big topic in the news now, and it's a developing story... we here in this thread are interested in discussing it from various angles while it's a big story.
Part of that is sharing unconfirmed stuff and then discussing how that would impact things if it turns out to be true.
I completely respect and acknowledge the right of those who are more inclined to side with Brown than the police officer, to do exactly this. "If it turns out these witnesses are right and the officer effectively just executed this kid who was clearly no longer a threat, that is awful and he should face prosecution" has been the central thrust of your side, right? That's a reasonable position and I don't begrudge you taking it. I also don't begrudge stuff like rumors he was kneeling down to surrender, or whatever else...
I might show my personal doubt of these things dismissively, but people certainly have the right to pass along what they're hearing and float it as a "if this is true..." type of thing.
