Actually, I'm not sure if the lesson has sunk in yet.

What part of this do you not understand or disagree with:
The people heard speaking at no point actually identify themselves as witnesses. We have no idea if they are describing something they actually saw, or something someone else claimed to have seen and told them about, or if they're just offering conjecture.

I think that any eyewitness accounts supporting Wilson would be a lot more credible because who would lie for Wilson in an environment like that?

What part of
People who have identified themselves as witnesses in this situation may in fact be lesscredible than those who believe they are speaking in anonymity ( and thus without repercussions after the fact ) without danger of going against what the audio showed was already the prevailing meme on that street.
Are you unable to grasp?
 
Ya know, if none of the blacks in the neighborhood would come froward to 'snitch' to the police, there would still be a pool of others who would. Merchants first come to mind. Maybe visiting customers? City employees, visiting social workers, service people, drain cleaners, the post man.... Brown's rivals in the drug trade....

How about some of them watching the evening news and saying to themselves "Wholey Crap, They are going to send that cop to the chair for defending himself against that 'Bully' Brown! Gimme the phone I'm talking to the cops".

Remember the way it was the customer at the cigar shop that called the cops.
 
I've been running about 8 hours behind in this thread for a couple of days, so I'm hesitant to ask...

Hasn't anyone asked... what if Brown was looking down at his shot-up arm at the time the final two shots struck?

Was there any trajectory info in the Baden briefing that would take that possibility off the table?

Personally, I think what appears in that video is far too flimsy to be considered, for a variety of reasons. But if you feel otherwise, I'll respect that.

At this point, I'm just going to say agree to disagree, and I apologize to you for my snippy tone. There's already enough of that in this thread, and I don't care to add to it anymore than I already.

C'mon Travis... extreme, balls to the wall bias is not the only type of bias. Lesser degrees count too.
 
What's funny is that no one is asking the right question. No one is even interested in why such a bias might exist?

The anger and unrest in Ferguson. You think that is unique? You think that comes from nowhere? That comes from somewhere, my friends. And figuring out where that anger comes from is the real issue at hand here. A community with no underlying resentment doesn't just blow up like this over a police shooting. A nation that doesn't already have some problems with how modern police forces work doesn't become as polarized as the USA currently is over this issue.

We are all obsessing over how one particular tree fell over and completely missing the fact that the entire forest was clearcut and no one wants to talk about it.

Im sure this has been posted a million times, but here it is just in case. Video of witnesses not knowing they were being recorded moments after the shooting describing it to neighborhood people and their accounts of it match perfectly with the cops account of the story.
