Pretty much.

Incidentally, my girlfriend's great-grandfather was mayor of a town in Mexico... emigrated (fled) to the US because Pancho Villa et al wanted him dead, he was on the wrong side of the revolution. But I think shooting or hanging was the preferred method in those days.
