McConnell not going to play nice

I'm not sure where he thinks he's got his mandate from. I mean the only reason his party made gains is because a lot of Americans are really ******* stupid and think their ideas to shrink the government until we're Somalia are swell and logical.

Repugnicans don't quit want it to be Somalia, but several other 3rd world nations where they can outright buy /bribe the govt and don't have to worry about the D()*()med middle class seems to be their wet dream.

I'm just curious. For a Canadian who this really does'nt affect, you seem to troll these boards looking for any perceived criticism of democrats and jump in and defend them.

I have to ask...why?

Does it bother you? I have always had an interest in American Politics. Beyond that passing interest, I have always considered American affairs, in particular on foreign issues, but also economic to be important, as they effect my country greatly.

You know what bothers me? People assuming that on an internet forum that has a large international membership, American Politics is private territory, that only Americans can comment on.

I believe in defending democratic values regardless of their origin. I live in Canada, and our politics tend to be boring, and certainly most of the time no one (here at least) talk about them. Most other countries I don't get much info on, as our cable does not carry anything European (well except BBC).

If I were defending Conservative values, would it make a difference?

Did I say it was wrong? If you were posting as much defending repubs I'd wonder too. You post in very many threads regarding American politics.
I was basically just wondering what dog you had in the hunt.

It's just kinda odd to me that you live in Canada yet must have your voice heard in seemingly every USA thread. Whatever floats your boat though.

While you're at it, ask ProBonoShill, he's also from Canada but defends Republicans.

I dont think he posts nearly as much. Maybe TAM just has a lot of free time, I dont know. I Just asked him why.

I dont recall asking you at all though while I'm at it.

Then I guess that will be the last time you mention it again. Good. Thanks for your input on my reasons for posting. Anything else off topic you wish to post now?

My posting frequency has always been high. It is not new to American Politics. The recent elections more then anything else, might explain (along with my self removal from 9/11 CT) my recent return to this section, but regardless of where I post on this forum, it will likely be high volume, in a large number of threads...I like to discuss, and debate (although it gets pretty toxic in here at times).
