I've spent a large chunk of our lockdown watching Mathologer, Numberphile and ThreeBlueOneBrown.

They all manage to leave me feeling really clever until about 30 seconds afterwards when I couldn't even attempt to explain what I just watched.

So
a) any recommendations for podcasts in a similar vein.
b) how do I go about getting more out of the ones I'm watching.

Cheers

There is also the channel Numberphile2 (and I think Mathologer2) which is a second channel with more in-depth videos. The videos on Numberphile are cut-down versions with the rest of the video appearing as a companion video on the Numberphile2 channel. I think it's similar with the Mathologer channel.

You have the top ones. The production values go down after that. There are a lot of good tutorials, but that is a bit different from the channels you mentioned.

You might want to check out Singing Banana and Stand-up Maths. You can see them working together here to demonstrate that they are anti-psychic.
