I didn't see the entire thing, but in tonight's episode of Mail Call Lee Ermey took on the CTs regarding UFOs at Roswell. He had some old footage that was pretty neat showing some of the things that were carried aloft by the balloons. One in particular looked just like a flying saucer. They also had some film showing dummies being dropped from high altitudes to test parachutes.

At the end Lee said, "Now don't go sending me e-mails about your conspiracy theories because I don't give a flying.....saucer."

Those like me without basic cable missed this. I miss Ermey.

However, if you're seeking more details on the hard science behind Project Mogul, the source of the wreckage at Roswell, check out

Mogul was an attempt to create an array of high altitude listening devices to detect Soviet atomic tests. Though it was successful (it detected the Soviet's first test in 1949) it was discontinued in favor of seismic detectors. The program was declassified in the mid-1990s.

The intro-level physics lecture (by Prof Richard Muller UC Berkeley) doesn't involve any math and instead emphasizes the concepts behind the science.
