While the source of these, supposedly audible, responses is in question it's interesting to note that Spiricom (with all of its controversy) also made use of background ambient noise as a means, for the source of the phenomena, to clearly articulate sounds/words.

The only thing that matters here is getting a clear response without the involvement of foul play.
