The hieroglyphs not only look symmetrical, but in their layout they are symmetrical.

As they appear when one is facing the entrance to say, a tomb, the glyphs are duplicated on the left and right hand sides, each copy beginning in the middle and working outwards.

Perfect Symmetry.
