Loose Change 9-11: An American Coup

If I didn't know any better I would think Avery was in the witness protection program. Why else would a reasonably sane person choose such a hideous hair style??

Naw - he's just the poster boy for the anti-Intelligent Design group.

His long hair goes well with his new wardrobe.. wasn't that scarily prescient that I created this image a few months back?:eye-poppi

What I find more disturbing than Dylan's appearance nowadays, is the fact that he pretends to be some kind of Selfless Hero and Shining Knight with his Avery Foundation (.com wtf??)

He is not so much calling the first responders perpetrators and liars but insinuating it, and then going on about winning sympathy for himself by calling those first responders victims and standing up for them.

Can a trusty of a foundation take enough money out of the funds to provide for his own living? Just askin'

I have no idea but I highly doubt it. As we've seen, 9/11 truth is hardly an economic juggernaut. Its target audience is the working class. Even tireless campaigners like ae911 truth fail to reach a significant amount of money in donations. Avery made his money from advertisements. I estimate he made at least $300,000, which is a lot of money for a Red Lobster server.

edit- he also won $1,000 in a recent Emo Phillips look-a-like contest.

Yes, a legit 501(c)(3) can pay their employees what the feel they are worth. But, they have to account for EVERY penny that comes or goes into the charity. So, if Avery ever did set up and start taking donations, he could pay himself 100,000 a year. But, highly doubtfull he would get that much per year.

Sorry to tear down the ambience, but...

OK, Dylan Avery's look might make filling some vomit bags, but what's the point of criticizing his hair? That only makes twoofers feeling more smarter, and far superior, because at least they brought some """"valid"""" points whereas JREFers are just making argumenta ad hominem. Come on, guys, we're better than that :)

And some information about the """""journalist""""" who interviewed him. While his name is "Marc Tellenne", he prefers to be called "Karl Zéro", because of some remainings of his punk era. He was working for a french channel called "Canal+" and was presenting a show which mainly contained investigations directed against USA and the French conservative party at the moment.

He was suspended once because he showed once Jacques Chirac being assassinated in a CGI-made parody. Then, much later, he was fired from his former channel television because he blindly trusted an anonymous prostitute who falsely accused some important local persons of procurement and pedophilia.

But he wasn't inactive. Meanwhile, Karl Zéro founded a Youtube-like website called "leweb2zero.tv" where he wanted a space of full freedom of expression. Unfortunately, that meant that many conspiracist and/or anti-zionist videos blossomed there, and the website became quickly a lair of extremism and paranoia. Then, Karl Zéro became interested in 9/11 alternative theories, and was very pleased to have seen "Loose Change".

In 2008, the director of a channel called "BFMTV" hired him because of his tone and wanted to have some troublemaker who could break the rules of news channels. Well done, sir, you have recruited one of the worst journalists in Europe who invited the worst liar about 9/11. And yes, I _do_ mean that Karl Zéro supported Avery's woo before he interviewed him on TV.

Hey wait a minute (with respect) As I understand it an ad hominem attack is when someone bases an attack on an anothers POV because of an aspect unrelated to the POV but related to the person him/herself. No-one here has written that Averys views are wrong because he looks like a desperate rent-boy.

I wanted to reply to UNLoVedRebel and triforcharity, but first took a quick peak at the foundation's website.

Note, there is www.theaveryfoundation.org and www.theaveryfoundation.com, both different. The quotes are from the .org. Anyone want to take a screenshot?

Mr. Dylan Avery of San Diego, California and Mr. Korey Rowe, of Oneonta, New York (under the guidance Mr. Patrick Kwiatkowski and Mr. Joel Bachar of Microcinema International) have an outstanding debt, which they refuse to pay, with The Frankfurt Group in Fort Worth, Texas - until this debt is paid, this page will remain - we apologize for the inconvenience and do hope that these in-house disputes are resolved promptly

As an aside, Mr. Dylan Avery and Mr. Korey Rowe had a genuine opportunity to obtain a "founder's donation" in excess of $200,000 but instead decided their personal vendetta was far more important than assisting the dying first-responders of 9/11.

We apologize for the inconvenience but we are not authorized to accept donations and have no intention of obtaining the authorization in the future - please consider the Lance Armstrong Foundation as a reasonable alternative.

My bolding.

Well, kind of renders my question moot.

The guy from Microcinema (who released the latest Loose Change film) told me that he is President of the Avery Foundation, and he will be taking no remuneration. I didn't see the point of asking about Mr. Avery, given that their website isn't even set up for donations yet.

ETA - Bell, regarding the 'vendetta' comments, my source told me that these are 'internal business issues' and are unrelated to the operation of Foundation. Obviously, they are airing dirty laundry in public, though. Just passing it along. Seems that there is no operation of the Foundation anyway, so it would be hard to interfere with it....

Yes...
But truthers tend to exaggerate debunkers' weakest moments and distort reality as they already do with facts :D

Point taken, but I respectfully disagree.

Dylan Avery brings absolutely nothing new to the table, except for that ridiculous hairdo. He may as well be walking around with a bull's eye on his head. Any truther that would like to call that an ad hom may do so, but that doesn't change the fact that He and Loose Change have been debunked in every possible manner there is. There really isn't anything left to do but laugh at him.

Thank you for your insight on Karl Zero, good information. :)

This discussion about Dylan Avery's recent appearance reminds me of a comment Tina Fey made about "Bombshell" McGee:

"I know we shouldn't judge people based on their appearance, but when your body looks like a dirtbag's binder from seventh grade metal shop, it doesn't bode well for your character."

Similarly, I would argue that when a young man in 2010 goes from looking like a clean cut frat boy to "Shaggy" from Scooby Doo, chances are we are looking at a troubled soul.

That unfortunately is also apparent in the video. He had trouble looking Zero in the eye for most of the interview, a pretty good tell that Avery is having a hard time trying to sell this stuff anymore.

So, I'm guessing that this is still being outsold by " 'Manos' : The Hands of Fate"?

Dude...Manos was made on a bet...a guy bet another guy he couldn't make a full length film...and manos was the product. Even MST3000 guys couldn't sit through it.

Dang:

Manos: the hand of fate: 17,219

LC:the final cut : 18,188

When the worst film of all time is beating you ..you know it's time to give it up.

The addresses are http://www.theaveryfoundation.org/ and http://theaveryfoundation.com/

I posted screenshots on the previous page of this thread.

Dylan and Korey could afford a new domain, but couldn't afford to pay what they owed or get the foundation functioning. Pathetic.

The one thing I will say about The Haircut is that it makes me incredibly nostalgic for some early 90's alt-rock...so, on to some Mudhoney....
