If members here are going to put Alderbank off, he will not thank you for it in the long run. If I don't get a witness from here, I don't mind, I will move on.

I don't recall you suggesting a test involving a card in an envelope. Spell it out clearly (specify each step, and the success criteria) and I might agree that it's acceptable.

I think that Pixel was referring to your suggestion that you look at the card then you get the spirits to tell you which card you just looked at.
Which for all intents and purposes is no different from you looking at a card and then you telling us which card you just looked at.

If you don't object to Alderbank placing a card in an envelope without you seeing it and then getting the spirits to tell you which card Alderbank has placed in the envelope. That is at least a starting point.

No one is trying to put Alderbank off coming to test you.
Alderbank him/herself has clearly stated that (s)he (damn, can we please confirm the gender of Alderbank so I don't have to keep covering both possibilities) is not prepared to visit you until an objective protocol has been agreed.
We are desperately trying to help that happen in order for Alderbank to visit you today, not trying to put them off.

Maybe I don't make myself clear regarding my private life, but it is not really about my private life. My business is manned. For the record, I go to sleep around midnight. and rise at 8. This week and the following weeks, I may lose a little sleep.

Alderbank also PM'd me whilst we were waiting for floccan to ask the spirits my name; she had also seen the Doctor Who thread where I explained my choice of avatar and consequently knew it was Barbara. She then added "I have the same first name".

I am sure the tests are fine, and maybe we can come up with other things during testing, I don't know. The table is ready and the time is to be 5pm today. I am aware that Alderbank (he) has a 10k run on today, he may postpone, or even cancel, again I don't know. The test is ready and set. Lets remember, its just an introduction, and a few private tests.

You don't have to be literate in order to do this, all you have to do is repeat what the spirits say, verbatim. I would also question whether they are more literate than you, given that you've thus far reported them as saying "We don't belong in a circus", ""Where's the bl**dy Priest, send a message", "Go to the Police St", "Evidence" and "Don't you just hate demons".

Can you post something they've said that you think is particularly eloquent? Or, better yet, repeat exactly what they've said about the meaning of life, in their own words, verbatim.

Actually, reading the PM again, it's possible Alderbank was quoting me saying "I have the same first name" rather than meaning that he/she also had the same first name. In which case floccan may be right about his/her gender.
 
I'd been assuming Alderbank was male because flaccon is supposed to have learnt her name and kept referring to her as "he".

So, she's either female, or a male whose parents wanted her to grow up to be good at fighting.

Seriously, I am not about to risk money. Once there has been a house sale, it will rise to as much as £10.000. The rise of prize money involved, is courtesy of a witness who knows his money will be safe. If dangling carrots is the only method of waking people up, so be it.

The way to get yourself taken seriously is to submit your claims to objective testing. I very much doubt anyone here would take any bet you wanted to make that you would be proved right.
