London's "No-Go" areas.

I lived in Cricklewood for about a year, right smack bang between 2 mosques. To be perfectly honest, I barely noticed them. The only time I saw any activity, was an occasional gathering of worshippers on a Friday afternoon.

Just to add to the consensus, I have walked through many of those parts of London without any fear.

Ironically, one of the few places I don’t feel fully safe is parts of Sydney’s CBD due to the sometimes threatening antics of beggars/homeless people.

I’m going be over in London the week after next and I can see it’s changed a lot since I used to live there. How tooled up do you recommend I go?

Take a contactless bank card. I just read that you're expected to pay bus fares that way, though it was a satirical article. Tofu will be welcomed, as will avocados. Don't expect eye contact, let alone chat, on The Tube - people need their personal space. It's a hostile city these days.

Incidentally, I saw a very informative Twitter thread yesterday. Apparently Paddington and Soho have also been designated as no-go areas.
