This all reminds me when far right groups were claiming the Grønland area of Oslo is a no go zone.

Grønland is where the Oslo police headquarters is.

It does my heart good to know I'm helping to raise the property values of an area that has had its share of rough times. Strict educational institutions have been doing wonders molding heretofore young scrubbers and slappers into genteel, well-mannered respectable young ladies. Old fashioned discipline never hurt anyone. My old governess would be appalled at the state of state funded schools. Private boarding schools is where the best educational work is being done and video documented. For example, I just received my monthly video and I doubt one of my "adopted" students, Angie, will be sneaking off to the local grocer to bring back some fags to smoke anytime soon after what happened to her when the headmaster caught her.

Let's just say it wasn't the slipper this time.

The thing is that actually makes more sense and is more plausible than the thread to which this was a reply.

Urban renewal or gentrification the island previously had an unsightly factory for sure the area is a mixture of social housing and new apartments and I doubt any of the local state schools will produce the next prime minister, but it is far from a no-go area. Notting Hill, Kennington Oval, Balham were once rough areas depends how far you want to go back.
 
Roadworks on the M25 in particular have been driving me to distraction but that’s three days unscathed so far.
