If that were true, the statement would have been "Lindsay has the same "single-name" recognition..."
 
Anyone have a clip of the ad anywhere else? I'm not watching a commercial in order to watch a commercial.
 
Someone out there doesn't know the first thing about parody law. Anyone have a copy of The People vs. Larry Flynt they can send to Ms. Lohan?

Meh. It's cheap publicity for Lohan. She can afford it, and probably so can E*Trade. It keeps her in the headlines for a day or two (and also keeps E*Trade in the headlines and gives the SB commercial some more legs).

Frankly, I'm not sure that E*Trade could have asked for a better outcome....

That's ironic. If she argues she's that famous, she hurts her case because public figures can be parodied MORE freely under the 1st Amendment.

If our legal system isn't set up to protect the hurt feelings of wealthy narcissistic celebrities, then it ought to be. This could be a landmark ruling if it makes it to the Supreme Court!

She already pretty much has with the recent one made along with a mag photo-shoot. Don't remember mag but entering "Lohan topless cigarette" will probably bring it up through www.dogpile.com or those upstart Googie or whatever people.

I think this is a ridiculous and frivilous lawsuit. Since my kid has gone to school or been in a playgroup with at least 3 Lindsays, her assertion that people will assume it's supposed to be her is clearly groundless.

I hope E*trade is awarded their legal costs and Lohan pays the court costs--shame to spend our tax money on this!

I hate the creepy talking baby commercials. And what others consider Lohan's downfall I see as as an opportunity to be with a piece of pop culture for the price of an 8 ball.

So I hope she wins the 100 mill and e*trade is forever remembered as "that company who made commercials that were ruled to be kiddy porn and had all their executives jailed" while Leroy and Lindsay L. Drudgewire point and laugh at them through the gate.
