Life in Post-Soviet Russia?

Keeping in mind that you put the phrase in quotes and not me,
That's because I was quoting you... :boggled:

have a look at some of these reports on bold adventures in the Russian economy.
I'm sorry, can you just quote from an article that called Russia a "capitalist paradise"? This is your claim, and I really don't want to go through 135 search results looking for proof of your claim.

I don't know why it should be so surprising that some businessmen and entrepreneurs thought Russia might be a good market.
Who said it was surprising? The point is that the US press were eager to showcase the investment opportunities and supposed success stories of Russian privatization during the 90s, and not so interested in the effects on the Russian population. Framing it as a question of "What should businessmen think?" is the same kind of business-centrism.

That's because I was quoting you... :boggled:
And I was quoting no one. So I don't think I have to produce a quotation that I never alleged.

So now you're no longer claiming that Russia was hailed as a capitalist paradise (no quotes)?

Captain Kangaroo? Read the reports I offered or leave it alone.

Are we supposed to read through 135 articles and then assemble your argument for you?

This is the pit of laziness on your behalf. No wonder your business in Russia failed.

The reports are evidence, which is what I was asked for. No I am not going to co-opt daenku's thread to argue about what one reporter or another really meant. I am not here to prove theorems.

There you go again with the business-centrism.
