Show me your evidence, NOW!" I repeat that over and over, and I'm going to continue doing so until they stop.

Spare me your tiresome moralizing, Brumsen. Sometimes you have to call a creep a creep. These people constantly make mindless, nasty accusations, because they think no one will confront them. They are wrong. I'm going to make damn sure that their ignorance gets thrown back in their faces. My reasoning has had no effect on them. If the only way they will learn is through humiliation, then humiliated they will be.

I must admit, I thought that this was an inspired debating tactic. The main success I see the CT folk have are due to insinuation and smear tactics. These are very hard to refute, and people often don't know how to do so. This, to me, seemed like an appropriate, emotional but non-violent response to a character attack.
 
I see the "humiliation" and raise you one "ridicule". Keep it up.

Dear Ed, I never thought I'd be quoting Reader's Digest, but for much of this crowd, particularly the fence-sitters, "laughter is the best medicine". Make fools of the CTers and have everyone laugh in their faces. The more the merrier. You'll pi** off the CTers (gee, that'd be horrible :cool: ), but you'll show the undecided vote that they're watching a riotously funny bunch of a**hats. There is probably no greater appeal to the young than that of NOT BEING a member of a group that the world finds riotously funny.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with calling them out for the fools they are and wiping that (literal) smurk off their faces. With the poor media coverage they got on 911 and a take-em-down team to confront them at every turn, they'll go back into their web-caves and preach to their already converted choir.

Next tactic? Sex appeal. It sells. Get some cute young flight attendants from AA and UA to come out and tell these people what they think about dancing on the graves of their deceased coworkers. (May the moderator of my Women's Consciousness for Old Guys class forgive me!)

This is a war for the minds of the waivering. The jerk brigade under DA think their film school dropout has the corner on videos? Hit 'em with ten more!

Well, I'm curious as to why you used my expression of anger as an example of something that's hard to understand, rather than the truthers arguing with the morgue technician, accusing the firefighters of being lying conspirators, and accusing us of being paid disinformation agents of the terrorists who murdered thousands of people on the ground on which we were standing.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this tactic at all. I having long abandoned any sense of civility with those that promote this rubbish. And this is just online.

Ultimately these theories accuse Americans of killing fellow Americans in the most hideous way possible. Which ever way you cut this, it is not just a few higher ups inside the US Government that could have planned and executed this. It would involve thousands of people. Perfectly innocent, normal people who these idiots openly accuse.

They blatantly and openly dance on graves and mock the final words of the victims.

They twist facts, suppress truth, censor opinions, rig polls and target the young and naïve.

IMO these theories and those who promote them are so beneath contempt they humiliate themselves.

Thank you for the effort Gravy, Abby, realitybites and all the rest who take these guys on face to face.

Humiliate away, record away and let’s see these idiots for what they are.

My continuing respect and admiration for Gravy and all his valiant band. And from the sound of it, you may have added some new allies that may be back in the near future.

Like many, I wish i was close enough to be of assistance, but even-tempered though I am, I really, really wonder if I would be able to keep my cool with some of the stuff I would have to hear.

The ability to deny facts is something uniquely human and these CT'ers are most definitely unique--and human, although I am not particulary proud to share a genus and species with them...

I still think, Gravy, that you should put a presentation together and apply for a JREF scholarship for The Amazing Meeting and present a Paper on Sunday at TAM about you and the Ninja's activity. The scholarship would get you into the meeting, I would be willing to share hotel accommodations if necessary, and I think the Ninjas would help out on the airline ticket...

Just something to think about.

Sounds like an eventful weekend. Approximately how many ny911truthers were there? I'm pleased to see the debunkers building in numbers.

And, I totally concur that still photographs don't do justice in capturing how the truthers behave and the words out of their mouths. Next time I come, I'll bring my camcorder (argh... forgot it last time). It records video on small tapes. Somehow, I can feed the footage into my computer, mix segments together, and upload to youtube or google video.

When I get down to GZ one of these weekends I'll buy ya a birthday beer!

You guys have done a real service...you are the tour guides at the denier zoo. If not for your efforts their strange species of stupid would go unexplained, and free to overpopulate the local eco-system. Thanks for keeping them safely behind the bars of logic and sanity.

I hope you can get some good video of these CTs (seems like there is an "un" missing from the middle of that term somewhere...) showing exactly what they really are. I wouldn't watch it, as I already have high enough blood pressure, but it would be nice to have on hand to show the "fence-sitters" exactly who is promoting the other side.

On second thought, if you could get R. Lee Ermey in his role as Gunny Hartman from Full Metal Jacket (or any other old-Corps drill instructor) to confront these morons, I'd pay to see it. Especially if he carries out the eye-gouging, skull-fornicating threat.

great job, as usual. I appreciate your "in his face" move. You are right, sometime you call it exactly how you see it, and give back better than your given.

I know where some are coming from with being like this all the time, and here lately I just can't help myself with telling the nutters to go pack a bull, but Gravy, as I am sure you can see, is doing so much more than arguing down there. He is debating infront of an extremely important audience, the general public. There he must seem as the more rational, more intelligent, more informed. In private, or on the boards, it is great to nail them with insults...god knows we do everything else better than them, and I am sure tossing around the nast banter would be the same, but down at GZ, the outbursts, I would guess, are kept to a minimal...as a debunker.
