Lester Holt, NBC News Anchor, Presents "Secret Government Warehouses"- Pathetic

Would anyone really be surprised that there might be big tunnels under US bases?

Are they as big or bigger than the big tunnels that are under Disneyworld?

The alien mandible tale as told by dentist John Mosgrove strains all credulity. Yet, the suspension of disbelief by the two "journalists,' Holt and Carl Day, veteran Dayton broadcaster and Emmy-winning television news anchor, is truly astounding. After watching this, how can NBC continue to have Holt anchor anything other than a boat load of crap?

Not surprising considering it's the Network that gave us the XFL and the Jay Leno show. It's still more credible than its cable network, MSLSD.

I think the best part was when they were in a helicopter so they could look at Area 51, and since he legally couldn't point the cameras at the base, just described it for the audience

The fact that Holt is unaware of the fact that camera crews stationed on the above mountain have already shot footage of the buildings and landing strip and broadcast on other Area 51 shows is in keeping with the quality of this presentation

Why couldn't he legally point the camera at the base? What was the alleged legal prohibition.

The same thought that Cicero voiced occured to me...I've seen those Area 51 shows with telephoto pictures of the base...were those shots illegal too? Did the History Channel get in trouble for showing those? What about those photos from people who go up to the fence line and take pictures...are those illegal?

They're mak'n stuff up.

"The mystery of Al Capone's vault was, and still is, the highest rated syndicated special in the history of television." G.R

Poor Lester Holt will have nothing to salvage from "Secret Government Warehouses." Maybe not even his career.

I almost mentioned this before, but I thought the program was only local. Lester Holt is a Chicago guy. He should have remembered the Capone's vault fiasco better than most. Then again, ratings were good and Geraldo seems to be just fine these days.

The Lexington Hotel (where Capone lived) was a sweet old building, that was sadly torn down just before the South Loop started to really come back. I wish it was still there, but they just finished a shiny new high rise on that lot. Capone's first bar "4 Deuces" was at 2222 S. Wabash, and that is still an empty lot in 2010.

Considering the history of the Cold War, I'd be surprised if most US bases didn't have something that could be reasonably described as "Big Tunnels" under them. Hell, my old university had tunnels, and we didn't even expect to get nuked!

Don't go dissing the XFL. Just don't.
