Soothing music has been shown to ease pain, e.g. during dental treatment. Since pain is very subjective this is hardly surprising.
Obviously, it was not double-blind. It might have been single-blind (the investigator scoring reports without knowing which patients heard music), but I doubt it. It is not possible to compare the effect with medication, since the effect of pain-relief medication is dose-dependent.
I said this before, but: LED treatment is nothing mysterious. It is just a modern and effective way to apply localized heat, and as such has certain merits in therapy. LED wavelenght is only relevant because it can, to some degree, regulate penetration depth.
