I know I'll regret this, but I'm guessing there exist photos or paintings somewhere in the Mormon archives of Jesus walking on the open sea or riding a wooden cross, right next to an ark laden with giraffes and elephants.:)

Je ne regrette rien . . .

Jesus Christ is the Son, the Saviour, the Only Begotten...

26 And I, God, said unto mine Only Begotten, which was with me from the beginning: Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and it was so... 27 And I, God, created man in mine own image, in the image of mine Only Begotten created I him; male and female created I them.

24 And there stood one among them that was like unto God, and He said unto those who were with Him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell;

6 And I have a work for thee, Moses, my son; and thou art in the similitude of mine Only Begotten; and mine Only Begotten is and shall be the Savior, for He is full of grace and truth;

33 And worlds without number have I created; and I also created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten. 34 And the first man of all men have I called Adam, which is many.

You are confusing the theological existence of Yeshua with worship of him and the existence of a religion based upon him. The messiah was not worshiped until he actually showed up. Christianity as a religion did not exist until Yeshua walked the Earth as a man, replacing the Old Covenant with the New Covenant. (More accurately the third covenant, as Abraham lived under and even EARLIER covenant than that ushered in by Mosses.)

Claiming that Adam and Eve were Christians is theologically and historically absurd, no matter what form of Christianity you practice.

Norm...The statements you refer to were made from memory. I do not memorise links. I also have other more important and more pleasant matters to attend to. This topic is unpleasant and upsetting, but I shall grit my teeth and look up the articles when I have time and when and if it suits me to do so... I am not obligated to dance to anyones tune on this forum.

No one asked you to come here. What is this thread doing for you? Do you really need an outlet for your disgusting bigotry and religious fallacies so badly that you have to subject everyone here to them? Perhaps you should run along and tend to your more important matters.

It's better to not comment until you HAVE the time to look up references. I would think by now you'd have participated in enough discussion on this thread to understand the need for references.

Take the time to craft your replies. We're patient. We'd rather have one good reply every week or two than 20 haphazard ones every day.

OK, one more question about gender being an eternal characteristic.

A recurring theme in the gospels is the idea that the last will be first, the first will be last, and "he who humbles himself will be exalted, while he who exalts himself will be humbled", etc., etc.

Does this mean that, in the afterlife, the gender that held all the cards on this mortal coil will be subservient? The gals will be in charge in Heaven, and the guys will stay in the kitchen and keep their mouths shut?

The following article is just one of many:
"If you are a business owner or work for a “gay friendly” company and you speak out against same-sex sex, there’s a good chance that your business will be harassed or as a prospective employee you might not get hired. You recall the attack on Chick-Fil-A because of statements that Dan Cathy, president and COO of Chick-Fil-A, made about homosexual marriage:
“It has been just over a year since Chicago Alderman Proco “Joe” Moreno and Mayor Rahm Emanuel first took a stand against the privately owned food chain Chick-Fil-A, due to the owner Dan Cathy’s Christian faith and unfavorable view of same-sex marriage.”

Nonsense Slowvehicle. Posts 7271 and 7292 are entirely factual... and also have no reference whatsoever to Eternal Law or the LDS Church. Think before you rave.

Nonsense, Janadele. Unless you are able to present the sources of your demonstrably false claims, they stand as intentional lies, told by an acitve, proselyting LDS, in support of her superstitions and prejudices.

Provide a link to your source for your outrageouos claims, or admit that they are simply your inventions. Think before you promulgate fear-mongering lies.

You claim that my life influences your relationship with "eternal law"...and the only source of your claim of such "eternal law" is the superstitions of your sect. You have yet to show how anything I do in the fastness of my demesne can in any way influence your life. I would really, really appreciate it if you would explain that.

Why do you trust Godfather Politics website to give you the truth Janadele? Look at some other stories and judge their veracity.
We know about Chick-fil-A. It is a case of pure prejudicial treatment of gays. It is discrimination and the site you have chosen merely gives this story a spin that you approve of. How would you feel if they said Mormons are not welcome to work there?

And Timothy McVeigh was executed due to his Christian faith and his unfavorable view of children being allowed to live.

I see. Mormon scripture is true because Mormon scripture says Mormon scripture is true, even when it demonstrably disagrees with, for instance, xianist scripture. Or reality.

No wonder you feel as if you can say anything you want to about current events, true or not.

The following article is just one of many:
1) Is that a reputable source by your standards?
2) Are you saying people boycotting bigoted business are engaging in oppression?
3) Do you still stand by this quote of yours?

me said:
I'll make this easier; just back up this one for now:

you said:
Christian preachers have already been fined and gaoled for "discriminating" by teaching the word of God regarding homosexual activity.

How would you feel if they said Mormons are not welcome to work there?
Or if they openly expressed anti-Mormon bigotry, said they didn't want to hire Mormons, and then when Mormons and opponents of religious bigotry boycotted them in response, they claimed they were being oppressed by the Radical Mormon Agenda?
