I would be interested in hearing the general perception of the reports of people being zapped by Sasquatch.

I did a search of the forum to see if it had been discussed prior to this and wasn't successful in finding anything.

Do you even know what I'm talking about?
 
Infrasound. He is talking about reports where the alleged Sasquatch demonstrated an ability to zap people into paralysis using infrasound. Since there is a precedent for this in large cats ( and possibly other mammals?), some footers accept this as plausible for a large primate to have the same ability. Admittedly, it is a bit fringe even among Footers.

It's the silly woo's fabricating or having real fear of their wood ape monsters. They are big and scary, and hit you with psychic waves that instill fear and sometimes make you forget OR FREEZE UP. The guys in MIB have those little lights that woosh in front of your face that do the same thing. Don't you know ANYTHING?!?

The people talking about it (enthusiasts) don't even know what they're talking about.

You guys might want to provide a specimen before prattling on about its attributes, however silly those might be.

i was not aware of this - (the large cats using infrasound to zap???) can you give me a credible reference?

I know whales use it to stun prey, but never heard of cats doing it!, Elephants, Hippos, cats gators etc use infrasound for communication, but i was not aware of cats using it to stun prey, or incapacitate!

That is a valid question. I see Resume has posted some links. I did blunder, I must admit, and post something that I had heard on a Bigfoot board without vetting it myself first. Mea culpa.

Humm - because I'm still wondering if tigers can do it, and the supposed evidence provided, makes me doubt the claim even more. So for me, I guess i need to see credible evidence that tigers do it, before I start projecting a hypothesized "power" onto other animals!

Yeah, I have to say it's going to require a few legitimate citations before I accept that rather unusual big cat "super power."
 
I know it's the season to be jolly but why is this nonsense still being debated?

Again... Magic monkey men with lazer eyes and sideshow genitalia don't exist.

There was a story on the BFF about someone collapsing in a heap when Bigfoot approached. It was clearly a case of Cataplexy probably due to Narcolepsy.

Often Cataplexy is brought on by extreme fright or extreme laughter. The person is fully conscious (as was the case in the BFF story), but unable to move their involuntary muscles. Their breathing and heart beat continue. They are able to see what is going on around them. Many of the footers that this has happened to, will not agree with this as a diagnosis, because they don't want to be labeled as a Narcoleptic. Therefore Bigfoot has infrasound and zapped them, causing them to collapse.
