The real world doesn't work this way. You can't just make something real because you've been wishing for it to be real for 30 years. This isn't science or evidence. All you've done is cast yourself as Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin. You can't make an animal real by knocking on trees or howling in the woods or by trying to explain away criticism of an obviously fake piece of film. None of this gets you to a real animal.

I'm going to say this again because you've done your best to ignore it the first time. If bigfoot was a real animal, it would not take more than one season to create a professional study that would be acceptable to a zoology journal. If bigfoot was a real animal, it would not take more than three years to have enough film footage for a documentary. In real life, people have documented snow leopards which are very rare and live above 9,000 feet.

You've set up this mythology for an impossible animal. Bigfoot is so heavy that it leaves tracks deeper than a horse yet it can also walk without leaving any tracks. It crashes through the brush like a moose but it can apparently also move without making a sound. The animal is so shy that it can't be found and yet it stays hidden by banging on trees, howling, and screaming. It is enormously strong, massive, slow and lumbering except when it can outrun a horse. Please stop pretending that any of this is real.

Mine led me to find out there is something to the Bigfoot legend. I guess I was lucky as it only took me about 3 years of dedicated searching once I put an honest effort into it. Many go their entire careers without a sighting.

I'm proud to say that I've wasted exactly zero hours of my time chasing fictional creatures through the backwoods of Liverpool. Yeah, you were just "lucky" that after 27 years of being unlucky on a supposed migration path, you decided to get serious and then, in just 3 years of being serious, you suddenly hit the jackpot, but got no evidence to prove it, amazing. An honest effort is the last thing you've "put" into anything, Chris, and when you say that many people go their entire "careers" without a sighting, are you actually implying that this nonsense is your career? If so, I'm overwhelmingly embarrassed for you, old chap.

Well, it's not like Rexy raids dumpsters, steals pork and beans or hangs around like a doofus licking tree branches. Be fair. T-rex is a much bigger challenge than your common garden variety wood ape. It's not that easy to nail Rex. If you ever get a sighting without a big gauge, you're gonna be lunch, Chris.

You have never heard of the Mermaids of the Ohio? We have just as much evidence for them as we do bigfoot.

Except that times and times again people take "improbable" as a vindication of their sighting and bring it as "possible " as in it as as possible as visiting a McDo.

The degree of improbability is what you are missing. Anything with such a low improbability is "impossible" within our science udnerstanding.

And yet there are reported sighting of various entities everywhere including KY. Do you think ghost as improbable as BF ? Lizardmen ? Chemtrails ? And the Cottingley faery & arthur conan doyle ?

I wouldn't expect there to be any connection. There are sighting reports and evidence of Bigfoot in KY though.

To disregard these and attempt to place Bigfoot in the same category as fairies, dragons and unicorns demonstrates a clear lack of understanding of scientific investigation. Surely you realize to do an investigation one of the first things to consider would be local sightings of the unknown creature in question? Interview the "witnesses", investigate any evidence left behind from the encounter etc.

About the missing persons statement. That was from a discussion of the claim that current technology should have been able to have found Bigfoot by now.
It's a flawed argument. Our technology is great and getting better but it hasn't reached the point at which we can find everything we're looking for. One thing's for certain though, as our technology improves we will be able to find everything we're looking for some day, it's inevitable and that's actually an exciting prospect. Chris B.

There is a huge difference. Missing person do not live there permanently, do not roam the place in search of food, do not deposit excrement or pee or furs. And that is more than 1 animal. Also we are using that tech to make a list of the fauna and flora. That same tech cannot find a single person temporary lost for hours or day.

This is why it is not comparable. That is not the same "footprint" in the environment.

Which is Evidence you did not research that one very well. heck by your standard there are lizardmen, chupacabra and real hell daemon sighting.

Those are evidence of passing of SOMETHING. It is not evidence that a BF was there.

I'm not waiting for anyone to find bigfoot. The evidence is more than sufficient to show that there are no surprises of that magnitude left in North America.

That being the singularly hardest reality for him to overcome. Showing us actual evidence that came from an actual woolybooger living an actual life. "Okay fine, he'll just wing that part then." "But it's the most important part."

I'd say it takes something special (brass balls?) to come into a skeptic's forum, claim Bigfoot lives, IN KENTUCKY, have not a single piece of evidence (actual or otherwise), preach evidence's overrated necessity, pretend to school a few folks in science everything, and then claim Bigfoot VICTORY. Not a hair, not a hide not even a clear blurry picture of the beast, yet he somehow wins! Now that's something special.

It's exactly why BLAARGing (Bigfoot Live Action Alternate Reality Game) is such an apt and appropriate description of what he and his BBCs¹ (Bigfooter Brethren & Cohorts) are really doing.

At one point I had to stop and wonder why I even care about the bigfoot nonsense, and you've touched on the reason: footdom attacks science by misrepresenting it. I consider this a social evil, because the more people who blow off science out of self-interest, the worse it is for all of us. If reality becomes so fragile that hallucinations, jokes, and fraud amount to good evidence, then we are doomed.
