Latest Bigfoot "evidence"

Well, considering

1. I've seen one
2. I've had multiple encounters which I can't attribute to any known animal
3. I'm part of a group that actively conducts field research and
4. I investigate sightings reported to our group.

There really isn't anything that can be said on this forum that will convince me otherwise.

Go ahead and mark me down as a lost cause.

1. No, you saw a thermal blob. What leads you to believe that was an unclassified North American non-human primate? You couldn't make out any details; it might have been my great-grandmother for all anyone knows.
2. "Multiple encounters" -- but only saw it once through a thermal device? That makes zero sense.
3 & 4. ... and? You're admitting your biases here, not offering any support for your non-evidential belief system.

Done. You're either being fooled, fooling or a fool. Which is it? :)

Where were you and what was it about these encounters that made them impossible for any known animal to be the source?
Please give some details.

To my knowledge, no. Do you know a wolf biologist? I don't.

It has been analyzed here:

I would still be interested in hearing why you conclusively believe this is a hoax.
I would be interested in hearing why you conclusively believe that this is not a hoax.

Burden of proof is not on us to disprove, but for the proposer to support the assertion.

Why should anyone take this phenomenon seriously with comments like these. You're convinced these things exist for reasons that are only reasonable to you; surely you must realize why science has no interest in bigfoot given evidence like this. And the evidence doesn't get any better no matter the source. You folks complain about scofftics yet provide endless ammunition.

That's essentially true for anyone who has declared that they believe that Bigfoot does exist whether they are eyewitnesses or not.

From all observations, the conversion rate from convicted Bigfoot believer to non-believer is extraordinarily low. It's almost not worth the effort at all and anyone with an eye on productivity would stop any Bigfoot skeptic from arguing with any strong believer.

I wonder if more people convert from God-convicted to Atheist than do from Bigfoot-convicted to Denialist.

It helps us feel all warm and cozy inside, believing there are 8 foot tall monkeys out in the woods whooping, wood knocking and running 40mph. That's all there is to it.

All the worlds a stage
And one footer in his time plays many parts,
His acts being three ages. At first, the fooled duped by others
who play the bigfoot game, then the fooling as he gains confidence and steps up to play his part, then the fool as he comes to believe his own tales and fabrications.

(sorry Bill S.)

I need to clarify some items pertaining to my earlier posts. I did not intend to hold out my experiences as "evidence" as I'm fully aware they are nothing more than anecdotes. If they were perceived as such, then I apologize.

Additionally, I didn't join this forum with the thought of trying to convince the members that Sasquatch is real. My reason for joining was to learn to look at what I do encounter from a different perspective. I try and get out into the woods as much as possible and have experienced many odd things, most of them I haven't posted here.

I do realize that posting items with very little or no context is frustrating, and again, sorry about that.

I do intend to post more of my experiences but it won't be in this thread because they are not evidence. They are stories. I will provide a much clearer picture of what happened and how I came to my conclusions. It will probably be in the follies thread. That sounds more appropriate.

Thanks
NL

Actually the thread "Bigfoot - Anybody Seen One?" would be the best for telling the story of your encounter.

It does tell me something, it tells me these are damn hard to find.
"What are my chances?" "Not good." "You mean 'not good' like one out of a hundred?" "I'd say more like one out of a million." "So you're telling me there's a chance. YEAH!"

I'm looking at the latest bigfoot video...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/new.../10211310/Hikers-capture-bigfoot-on-film.html

I'm wondering, ok, suppose someone killed this person with a rifle, sincerely expecting to come up with proof that bigfoot is real. What if any criminal charges would they face?
Voluntary murder/manslaughter and first degree stupidity.

Ok, more stories, but I think it is relevant.

I have personally spoken to two hunters that have had squatches in their sights of their rifles. Neither pulled the trigger. One knew immediately it was a squatch and the other didn't figure it out until after watching it for about a minute.

The one that knew it was a squatch immediately didn't pull the trigger because he didn't know if he had enough gun to bring it down.

The other did think it could be a hoax for a brief moment and it was a factor in his initial decision to not shoot. Once he determined it wasn't a hoax, he watched it until it disappeared into the woods.

I'm not a hunter and wouldn't know the difference between a BB gun and a Howitzer, but have spoken to lots of them and they all pretty much say they wouldn't pull the trigger because they are afraid of the hoax.

These stories are relevant in that they are evidence people tell stories. Outdoorsmen tell lots of stories. There's a real good one going on in the BFF in which what sounds like a Predator-type bigfoot is storing deer carcasses in a hayloft.

Or some such ************.
