OK, the notice in community went nowhere, so we'll try it here.

I'll be in the general LA area from the 20th to the 26th.

I propose a skeptic meet on the 24th. Let's all get together and, uh, debunk something.


Failing that, if anyone in the area that has a free afternoon or evening, we might be able to arrange lunch or something.

I am always amazed at how many LA area skeptics there are, and how few of them we rope together. Could it be that our charming personalities are driving them into the desert screaming? No, that was my last boyfriend. :D

I am four hours east of LA but get into town from time to time. Not sure of my plans for that week but I might be around.

See if you can bring some of those skepchicks back to Tokyo. One or two stashed in a suitcase should clear customs, I think. Not that I have anything against you and the other guys, but we could have used some female....um.....participation last Sunday!

Hey, it wasn't like we didn't try :)

But I was already in too poor of shape to do anything but keep my eyes in focus. If I recall correctly, the younger sister turned white as a sheet when you said we'd probably neveer see them again :) So it wasn't like we got completely shot down...
 
As I posted in the other thread, I may or may not have family here that weekend, but if it's a no, I'm so up for this.

Loon, Moe, Girl 6, 2 of her friends and I met for a quick dinner tonight.

It was GREAT!!!! :D

I am grieving for my oldest cat, who passed away today. :( :( :( She is my avatar, and she had my heart for more than 15 years.



I plan to join you on Saturday. Any suggestions? The San Antonio Winery is centrally located.
