Kony 2012 popularity grows conspiracies trees

Well i do feel that Jason Russell could have a psychological disorder to begin with, but i do not have that evidence to back this up. Some also think that Jason has taken PCP which both symptoms like dehydration and PCP have the same side effects of delirium with PCP adding in mania.

The wife stated that his reaction was brought on by exhaustion and dehydration. I can see dehydration being a role in delirium, but exhaustion makes it highly unlikely.

Unless the mixed exhaustion and dehydration makes a mental state that Jason was experiencing it is hard to think exhaustion would be the cause and since I do not have any examination of a doctor i wouldn't find out as much as anyone else who makes guesses.

Sleep deprivation will produce paranoia, panic or delusions in pretty much anyone. (edit: I thought this case demonstrated an exception, but it was misreported.)

I know his wife says he wasn't on anything, but he could have been popping espresso beans or drinking 5-hour energy or using other drugs that are socially accepted.

We have an identifiable group of people advocating US military deployment to a place where Kony and his army are known not to be, as a step toward arresting him, making numerous deceptive claims along the way.

According to Invisible Children's site:

Back in 2008 I wanted this war to end, like we all did, peacefully, through peace talks. But Kony was not interested in that; he kept killing. And we still don't want war. We don't want him killed and we don't want bombs dropped. We want him alive and captured and brought to justice.

Now, you might think that's a load of BS, and you may be right. But it's going to take more than bald-faced assertions to convince me.

I don't know how else to put it except to repeat: The IC organization apparently is guided by attitudes that could be manipulated for purposes they might not knowingly support. As Ugandans have pointed out since the video went live, this war has ended within Uganda.

When westerners talk about "discovering" people on another continent, it might seem benign, but that notion of whose knowledge matters and whose does not has historically had close connections with imperialism.

But Kony is still at large. And while the war has ended in Uganda, it doesn't sound like it's ended everywhere. Sure, IC could be manipulated, but who's doing the manipulation? And to what end? So far, I haven't heard anything more than idle speculation.

I'm not sure that I understand this. Has IC said that they've "discovered" anyone? If not them, then who are you talking about?
As I've said, I'm open to evidence. But so far, most of the objections I've heard fall apart on the simplest scrutiny. The best argument I've heard so far is that "it's not our job to arrest Kony". But I have a suspicion that we wouldn't be hearing that argument very much if we were talking about Europeans.

Most people would just have a glass of water and a nap. Instead he decides to go for a walk and a wank, so I'm not buying into that excuse for a minute. In the words of Alan Partridge "He's a mentalist!"

I think that it's more commonly referred to as a "nervous breakdown". I don't think that he "decided" to do anything.

I don't think I'm obligated to fill in all the blanks perfectly. The alternative to speculation would be blind trust.

From a page that has been password-protected on their site but is still available from Google cache: "What started out as a filmmaking adventure transformed into much more when these boys from Southern California discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy where children are both the weapons and the victims." No, my suspicions are not based on that one sentence alone.

I hope we would.

So, it's either blind speculation or blind trust? Sounds like a false dichotomy to me.

I just discovered my face hitting the keyboard. Oops, I guess I'm an imperialist, too!
