Known Physics That Could Make Cold Fusion Possible?

I asked whether you had done a calculation that was encouraging. The presence of gravity also "generically" allows acceleration, but you aren't jumping on that.

I model it in my head if it looks promising, I research it further, see if anyone else has done work in it. Math is a last confirmation step.

Or I use math trying to see if the parameters are realistic.

Surface waves interesting, I will see what other phenomena I can add to the list.

When I do research I often find that someone has already combined some phenomena or techniques together usually for some other purpose. This helps me pin down whether any potential synthesis are viable or not. Its very rare for me to wander into any areas where there aren't already footprints before me

In other words you can't do the math. Understood. A quick google of low energy nuclear reactions revealed only crank websites. What do you mean by 'research'? What experiments have you carried out?

Oh, I had bought some heavy water Deuterium Oxide after Pons and Fleischmann came out with their results. Never broke the seal, don't know what happened to it.

No one could get reliable results and I didn't have the money for buying lab apparatus, to become conversation pieces.

I am a good inventor, but without the proper tools, skills, and a place to work, it is incredibly difficult and time consuming to build one-of-a-kind experimental apparatus. I have a great deal of respect for the inventors in the past, and the difficulties that they overcame.

I don't think I would have done even half as well as they did.

Who? Pons and Fleischmann,the failures, or the successful past inventors?

If the math can be gotten out of a book, and programmed into either a spread sheet or into an old copy of Mathcad I can usually do it. If it can give a numerical result or graph that I can compare to other examples, it is even better.

I was rather proud of myself of being able to calculate the velocity spread for air molecules, many years ago. That was for calculating whether you could seal a aperture into a vacuum chamber using high voltage currents and magnetic fields.

It is possible (on paper), but it isn't perfect. I determined that any significant particle beam passing through the shield will rupture the field. Shooting through a (one shot) piece of metal foil will work just as well.

That was slightly expensive since I actually tried to build some of he early hardware before doing the math. The best I could do was generate some interesting coronas. It gets real, when you do something wrong and these pretty little arcs are crawling all over your equipment. Its funny on Back to the Future, when it happens in real life, it really brings you down.
 
OK, then, of the things you've suggested so far, have you seen if the "parameters" are realistic? I say they're not.

Would I try to build something right now, even If I used someone else's money, NO.

Before Ebbesen, light and the relation of surface waves were an under rated curiosities.

And there is always the journey, I will have to learn some more math, thanks for making it less fun.
 
I am saying that there is something in Cold Fusion, but I don't want to repeat the same experiments that go nowhere.

Lets say you had access to either microprinting technology or a silicon forge.

You could make incredibly small structures that would have the potential of acting as very efficient particle accelerators. Each portion would be optimized with the correct materials and structure. Current and voltage could be applied directly to the correct functions without needing good luck to have the right structures form accidentally during Deuteron loading.

If the maximal surface were intentionally formed to provide the highest acceleration possible, the energy output could rise dramatically.

It might be possible to squeeze out the variables and actually see the desired process.

If the artificial analog does not have the limitations of the original Palladium rods, potentially weaknesses like thermal hot spots and chemical poisoning could have been designed out. Cold Fusion (or a name more appropriate to how it actually does it) generators could make hand warmers that last for months.

Without a firm knowledge of how it works, I wouldn't want to use it in an sensitive application.

So we try to break down all the known ways that matter will fuse and then check the computer models, to see if we can create a structure that will maximize energy output through discrete channel microscale acceleration apparatus.

That eliminates all Cold Fusion. But, seperately, I assume you are aware that designing microscale/nano materials of simple structure is some difficult. And, I assume you also know no one is currently designing the equivalent of microscale/nano accelerators - and is not likely to be doing so in the forseeable future.
