On Christmas day, the level of the lava lake rose enough to inundate and drown the northernmost (and then most active) of the fissures, at which point that fissure completely stopped erupting and the western fissure - which had greatly reduced its activity in the days since the new eruption started - began erupting much more vigorously. At that time, thermal imagery of the lake suggested that some lava had actually begun draining from the crater via the inundated northern fissure.
As of now, the western vent is the only vent still erupting. Even so, the lava lake surface level has not risen significantly in the last three days.
