Kerry leading in "biggest douche" race

Art, give me a link where Bush apologizes for "Bring it on" which arguably has cost US troops lives.
So now you're asking Bush to apologize for things he "arguably" has done?
No, doofus, he should be apologizing for what he ACTUALLY said which ARGUABLY cost lives. Sheesh, Art, get an copy of My Pet Goat so you can practice your reading skills.

Not unless you consider the literal meaning a "special" one. That Bush is "stuck" in Iraq is a purely metaphorical statement. . . .
 indeed.

You just did exactly what I cautioned you not to do - you excluded the common usage of 'stuck' and narrowed down the definition to come up with your own 'special' meaning of the word. Roll eyes all you want - spinning that hard to the right, you probably have to to keep from getting dizzy. Better slow down before your parts start flying off.

There nothing "special" about my meaning. Bush isn't IN Iraq, let alone STUCK in Iraq. What part of "metaphorical" do you not understand?

If you metaphorically hold your arms out a little, at this metaphorical rpm, you might generate enough metaphorical lift for take off. That would be metaphorically cool.

My old friend Jacob Bernoulli disagrees with you. The chord line and shape of the human arm does not enable it to function as an airfoil. Bugs Bunny cartoons and Scooby Do episodes are not suitable examples of lift generation via arm flapping. The birds do laugh at us. :D

All that his metaphorical arm flapping would do is eventually cause soft tissue damage in the shoulder, and possibly elbow and wrist, joints. Perhaps "cool" if you are a sadist, or even an orthopaedic surgeon interested in some work, but otherwise rather pointless. :p

I'm fairly certain they don't ban lying douchebags. I've asked the mods to, but they just shrug and walk away.

No, no, no - rotary winging, not flapping. As in beating the air into submission.

Art, with no offense, I thought when I read the words that Kerry had a lot to apologise for (even though there is strong evidence , thanks to recent (read: Repulican approved) changes in qualifications [no HS diploma,GED needed, etc.] that it would be technically correct for some enlistees). Then I saw/heard the clip and I can now say that , though I wish he had just dropped the joke or specifically used Bushes name, there is no doubt in my mind that he thought he was understood to be subtly throwing out a sneaky
anti-Bush line and had no idea anyone could not catch it as that (watch his face carefully on the last 5 or six words - I guarantee that is the sneaky smirk of a person digging the knife in an opponent - and our military is not his opponent.).

I was just talking to my brother-in-law a couple of weeks ago about this issue (the recruitment qualifications not the joke). He's a Green Beret currently stationed at Ft. Bragg. His complaint was that now the Army was taking any SS (I assume this to be Army slang for 'stupid ◊◊◊◊') off the street. He said he'd much rather fight alongside a squad of smart guys than a whole platoon of dumb guys. Not that he personally has to worry as none of those dumb guys will ever make it to the special forces, but he wasn't very happy about the whole thing.

Wait......

I thought what he meant was Bush failed to do his homework and educate himself on the situation in Iraq before he invaded; I didn't know he meant that soldiers are uneducated and have no options, so they join the military.
