Keith Olbermann

But where are all these people between these two extremes?
And why didn't they build their own party yet?
Do they all think like you?

My problem with some of the smaller parties is many are single issue parties. They consist of a bunch of people who want to do one or few things. Near any election, the Dems/Reps will try to show they care about those issues to grab those people that feel their party will never win. The Libertarian party is one of the few recent parties that has a broader platform reaching more people, but some of their platform needs to be less radical and realistic IMO. I regret even voting sometimes, but everyone should. I voted for Bush in 2k because I felt we were going in the wrong direction then. How were we supposed to know the future? We don't know what would have happened or will happen with a Dem in office either, but I think moving in the opposite of any extreme is the way to vote. Just my 2c.

Unfortunately you're right. Olbermann "didn't exist" in the run-up to war.
Where was he? Seriously.

He knew what we knew and what everyone thought they knew at the time. Unless he had some kind of inside information, I doubt he would of had a rant to give if he had his show then.

Well, the "resistant" countries [with insider information] about the Iraq war portrayed another picture - including the free Media:

I wonder about the Libertarian's niche as well. They should be able to enable a solid program that is between the other two main-parties. The question is: Why aren't they able to get into the congress? If they get 10%, for example, shouldn't they also get 10% within congress?

I tell you what: That's exactly what would happen here in Germany: If a party has 10% of votes, they get 10% of seats within the parliament.

Why isn't this the case in the US?

Please stop just spamming links. Wait till you're asked for specific evidence and just type your response. I'm well aware alot of people were anti-war and are always anti-war unless the enemy is at the gates, but that doesn't mean Olberman was anti-war (the person we are talking about). He has really just taken off in the new "I'm tired of getting jerked around by Bush era". Even in his recent speech about Libby, he stated that Bush had finally crossed the line as far as being considered his President.

Actually, they are, but more grass roots. The farther you go down the chain, the more candidates you find in other parties. How parties do at the grass roots level is what really lifts the party up. I'll look up how many are in total government if that is available after I make dinner, but last time I voted, there were many Liberts on the ballot where I live.

I posted these links to demonstrate why I think the way I do.
Now if you're not interested to understand me, why are you talking to me?

But where are all these people between these two extremes?
There must be millions of them. Absurd?
Oliver, this is a perfect example of why folks here get fed up with you. I provided you with links to an excellent article about the demographics of Democrats and Republicans when you posed this question a while ago. It answered your question and you acknowledged that fact.

Now you are right back to ragging on the two-party thing you have, apparently having completely forgotten your past lesson.

I reluctantly agree with others' opinion. Your threads are not to learn, they are to bash America. STFU.

I missed this link. What was it?

Why do you stay on reading the thread? Put Oliver on ignore if you don't like it. This acronym is uncalled for just because you don't like someone else's opinions.
It's not that I don't like his opinions. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. It is Oliver's willful ignorance that pisses me off.

That said, you're right. I'm outta this thread. But I reserve the right to call Oliver on his willful ignorance wherever I may see it.

And yes, the info I provided is not in this thread. It happened a while ago. That does not make it any less valid.

Buh-bye.

Olberman has one of the more fun of the commentary shows. And his worst people segment generally includes people who really are awful human beings. I would have to say, though, that he might as just as well keep O'Really up there all the time and just add two additional worst people each night. Keith is an excellent venom spewer and I happen to agree with his choice of targets for the most part. People like to say he is really liberal and he does really seem inclined to suck up to Democrats, but I'm not sure despising the corruption and policies of the current administration necessarily amounts to being liberal.

Just a side-question: Why is Billo so obsessed with the dailyKos? Is there a logical reason to push this issue again and again?

Bill O gets obsessed with any and every source that has ever criticized him directly.

O'Reilly was mentioned 33 times on Kos in this search return.

Of course, maybe they do cross the line over at Kos once in a while. ;)

A treat for O'Reilly's fans heading on over here to check out the "hate":

During the course of Defendant BILL O'REILLY's sexual rant, it became clear that he was using a vibrator upon himself, and that he ejaculated.

Incidentally, there are two sides in this battle: 1) the Coulter/O'Reilly/Limbaugh side, and then there's 2) the Netroots/Colbert/Olbermann side. Funny how things have shaken out.
