Well, people that do not hold religious beliefs are unlikely to make a claim that any god cured someone.

I do not believe these claims are unique to Christians. People from many religions claim that their brand of faith can effect miraculous cures or other things such as exorcisms.

African religions, hinduism & Native American religions all come to mind.

I agree, but again I am not sure that this practice is unique to Christians. I would be more inclined to agree if we simply left it at 'religious fundamentalists.'
