Gillard did register Wilson's slush fund association to corporate affairs. Gillard did write the articles of association allowing the frauds to be committed.

Nick Styant-Brown (former equity partner) reveals more via a transcript of the interview with Gillard.

Things are heating up. She has lied, then lied about the lies and lied again and again. Is that a clock I hear?
 
PRIME Minister Julia Gillard enabled the incorporation of a union slush fund from which her boyfriend later stole hundreds of thousands of dollars by formally denying to authorities that it was a trade union organisation.
A newly released document confirms that a letter Ms Gillard wrote to the WA Corporate Affairs Commission in mid-1992 rejected the commission's assertion that the Australian Workplace Reform Association was ineligible for incorporation because of its union links. The document also confirms that Ms Gillard, then a salaried partner with Slater & Gordon, drafted the rules for the association - without opening a formal file, without consulting the senior partners and without taking advice from expert lawyers within the firm.

Right now I'd say it's the froth dripping from the chins of the rabid Gillard haters. Once this blows over with nothing changing it'll probably be the sound of their tears hitting the ground.

By the way, and to throw a fact in, when the PM told WA authorities that the incorporated association was not a trade union, she was 100% correct. It was not.

If you disagree with this Alfie, how about proving it? You can't. You are passing on another lie.

Interesting too that you would try and condense this very broad and rather complex issue into just one little piece. Pathetic really.

Both the love and hate media are into this now. Gillards support systems are floundering (see Palestine/Israel vote for further proof) and she is slowly painting herself into a corner with her non responses and outright lies.

This has someway to go, yet the killing season is upon us.

The "one little piece" has been the central plank of the Opposition's Question Time tactics today. Pathetic indeed.

Your other predictions have been way off to date (like your certain early election) and you will be way off here. Gillard will take the government to the next election.

There is a lot more to go here, Gillard is in strife and everyone knows it. Denial is not just a river in Egypt, regardless of the sycophantic screams and abuse of others from her supporters.

It is no longer just the so called "misogynists and nutjobs" involved in reporting here and the pressure is mounting all around (it seems to be quite telling in JREF too ;)).

Every time Gillard gives her accusers a chance to do their worst, what do we get? Nothing. Abbott isn't the boy who cried wolf, he is the boy who would never shut up about it, for two years. Only, there is no wolf.

This issue will run into the 2013 parliamentary year. It is not going away and Gillard has more questions to answer as she continues to paint herself into a corner.

Her inability and/or refusal to answer questions in parliament leaves her supporters scratching their heads.

This will get worse before it gets better - of it ever does.

Such fun - she deserves everything she gets.

Worst PM ever! (btw, I had put that to bed but others seem keen to resurrect it - cheers :)).
 
Well, what an end to the Parliamentary year.
The Opposition are baying for blood for the P.M. to resign. They are saying that she has commited an illegal act in 1992 and misled the WA Corporate Affairs Commission over legal advice in setting up the "Australian Workers' Union Workplace Reform Association".
A union cannot be incorporated in this way apparently.
But it seems her advice was right and it was not a Trade Union but something set up by officials of a Trade Union.
There is no evidence what so ever of Gillard acting in a criminal way. She gave legal advice for a client as she should do.
Gillard wiped the floor on Abbott and Bishop on the Parlimentary floor, they now look like desperate muck rackers.
What a poor performer Abbott is when the whips are cracking.
I don't know if Gillard has acted illegally in some way. Maybe her judgement in 1992 was not the best for giving advice for her boyfriend and not opening a file, but not a hanging offence. There is no evidence of this.
Her haters are baying for blood as they have since August 2010, what a mammoth dummy spit it has been.
Will Abbott and Bishop last as leader and deputy leader?
