Many of the regular contributors here feel that Bentham Open Access is a "vanity journal", even though I personally explained the concept of an "open access journal" to them at least 4-5 different times.
Just to eliminate any potential confusion, here's an excerpt from a book titled "How to Find Information: A guide for researchers, Second Edition" (Sally Rumsey, pg. 94):
Just to eliminate any potential confusion between Dr. Jones's paper and an actual peer-reviewed paper, months ago I personally wrote to the publisher, and after he refused to forward my questions, to the editor-in-chief. The paper was never peer-reviewed. The publisher handled it all himself, and when presented with obvious flaws in the paper, refused to comment, instead forwarding my complaints to Dr. Jones himself and ultimately told me I should submit a competing paper. This is the point at which I went to the editor-in-chief. He was unable to get a list of reviewers, or reviewer comments, from the publisher.
I let it drop there. The thread is here on the Forum. The paper is a fraud. Thanks for trying.
