Joseph Goebbels Would Be So Proud

LOL, you hard lefties are good for some revelatory knee slappers....

See, the free speech position is if you don't like what EIB says, start your own network and call it Air America. You've got as much time as you want to get your message out. Then, if you want "equal time" switch over to EIB and listen for however long you can stand it.

But the Nazis, the Commies, the totalitarian crowd of Kucinich's, of course they don't see it that way.

They say, if EIB gets 4 hours to present its viewpoint, then they have to give the opposing viewpoint 4 hours also. The management says, but we don't have 8 hours of time to present all that, we've only got 4 hours. The Nazi/Commie/Kucinich crowd says, no problem, just present 2 hours of your stuff and we get the other 2 hours.

There's a term for that: CENSORSHIP. They effectively censored out 2 hours of the viewpoint they didn't like. Pretty sneaky, eh? And not only that, they appropriate the terms "fairness" and "balance" to do it.

But... methinks you already know that and play dumb to keep from having to admit you're anti-constitution, anti-free speech, anti-freedom for all. And Kucinich usually plays dumb too, except this time he's "UP" on his bipolar cycle so he's feeling all arrogant and honest.

He spilled the beans. Not that he needed to. It's just nice to have it from his own mouth for a change.

LOL... fingers in your ears chanting "LaLaLaLaLaLaLaLa I can't hear you?"

So far (right) everything he has written seems to be that way. I'm mostly avoiding threads where he spews. Was just curious if he made any sense here. He didn't, I'm gone.

Cool beans! When it's a viewpoint you DON'T like it's a rant. When it's a viewpoint you LIKE, it's a carefully reasoned and well argued truth. ROFLMAO. I love it when the hard left is found out and stymied. Ah, the power of their pretense. Too bad it doesn't work any more.

Kucinich will fail. Totally. Completely. Absolutely fail. And there's not a THING you can do about it.

Cool beans! When it's a viewpoint you DON'T like it's a rant.

No, when it's got more than a small dose of crazy, it's a rant.

When you compare an insane, ineffective congresscritter from Cleveland to an evil, totalitarian regime that systematically slaughtered millions, the dose seems rather...Well, gargantuan.

Hint, to help with reading and comprehension skills:

The NAZI's first name begins with a "D" and his last name begins with a "K"

The COMMIE's first name ends with an "s" and his last name ends with an "h"

lol

it's a shame there isn't a dumbest langauge award.....this post would be up there with the best (worst) of them :D

What definitions of "Nazi" and "communist" are you working with here? Have you studied much (any) history?

I didn't say it was a free market, I said it made the market freer. Which it does. A market is just as restricted if a private entity or a few private entities are able to dominate as it would be under government domination.

That's the theory. Testing in hundreds of "economic experiments" last century showed otherwise w.r.t. the larger issue of quality of outcome vs. freedom from government control.

And, of course, the law isn't about forcing rebuttals on particular radio stations for the purpose of free speech.

It's about forcing rebuttals on particular radio stations for the purpose of making it more trouble than it's worth so these troublesome shows will be pulled in more marginal markets.

Which is an absolutely disgusting thing to do. How people can sit there wide eyed and feign honesty that it's all about freedom of speech I don't know.

Nope. Kucinich is a far left authoritarian nutjob who wants to control what we read and hear. The free speech position should be, "you don't like what you hear on the EIB network, tune into Air America." But that's not what Kucinich really thinks. He really thinks there should be no alternative to Air America.

More accurately, he wants any station broadcasting 3 hours of Rush Limbaugh every day to be forced to carry 3 hours of Air America every day or have their license revoked.

Is it disturbing to people, yet? If not, why not? Take a good, long, god-damned look in the mirror.

And the logical next step would be a law saying that if you listen to the 3 hours of Rush Limbaugh every day then you're required to also listen to the 3 hours of Air America. What good is the forced the airing of viewpoints if nobody is listening.

Pointless. "Nazi" and "communist" are not used by this poster in relation to their historical context. They are just the standard big guns in the weak-minded's arsenal of epithets.

Whatever, fascist.

FarmallMTA - Patrick, is that you?

Hmmm. Before Goebbels got his hand on the propaganda machine of Germany he was also just insane and ineffective.

Hey, they all start out ineffective and insane somewhere. Goebbels did. Kucinich is.

What we're concerned about is preventing an insane, ineffective little man from establishing the evil totalitarian regime he has in mind. As you've implicitly acknowledged in your post, it ain't pretty when they get some traction because the people roll over and let them get away with it.

But, but, but... I thought that FoxNews was already 'fair' and 'balanced'. Are they not? Is somenone lying to me?

I feel so... used. I used to think that they could report, and I could decide. Now I laugh in sorrow at my foolish naivete.

Hysteric much?

Not really. I just get really concerned when Joseph Goebbels takes over the German media through the back door. Where did he start again?

And then I get MORE concerned when history starts repeating itself all over again, in the form of this little Ohio worm called Kucinich.

How many times do we let these guys have their way before we start fighting back and exposing them? Me? Now! You? We'll see, I guess. ;)

Doesn't matter. Concerned about getting enough viewpoints? Switch over to CNN or Link. But don't turn the switches on everybody else's set too just because you don't like FOX. Or CNN. Or Link.

Yes it is, because you are restricted from saying what you want to say for part of the time. It is most definitely a restriction on free speech, just like the prohibition on showing nudity on prime time broadcasts is a restriction on free speech. Neither restriction is actually unconstitutional, however, because the transmission spectrum is considered public property and its use can be restricted by the government (in contrast to, for example, print publishers or cable stations), which makes access to broadcasters contingent upon adhering to such restrictions.

Since time is limited, that would indeed restrict me from saying what I want to say ;) , so thank you for proving my point.

If you need more than half the time of each day to say what you would like to say, you have a slight problem with getting to the point - assuming you have one.

The crux of the thread is right here. All you Nazi/Commie/Kucinich's try responding rationally when you get through wetting the bed because we're on to you....

OK, he's definitely kidding, right?

I'm actually going to agree with this stopped clock. Kucinich's proposal sucks.
