I just don't understand why people cannot see through this man at all. I mean there are many frauds out there but this guy is at the top of the worst ever. Mind you anyone who takes advantage of the grieving and vulnerable are among the lowest in my opinion anyway.

Because, in my opinion, the human mind today is trained to be gullible. We're hit with that training from all sides from birth onward

For example, look at advertising. A 30 second television spot from Tide to tell you that their detergent is the best ever. Is it? No. Do people buy laundry detergent based on the Tide name alone? Of course. Same with countless other brand names.

Movies, advertising, books, and, now, websites and blogs. It's a never ending onslaught of "Believe US! WE'RE telling you the real truth!"

And, of course, for people like John Edward, the grieving and the vulnerable are the prey of choice, because they are more likely to believe.

What they usually say is "Nothing works better (or faster) than our brand." People hear it as "Ours is best." What they're really saying is that because all the brands are equally effective (or fast), no one brand stands out above the rest. So they can say "nothing is better" and be correct. Of course that doesn't mean that theirs is the best.
