The reason I ask is, usually those who are familiar with cold reading techniques immediately recognise them when they are being used by John Edward.

Instead of:

Imagine for one moment being struck by a bus. Or rather 'coming round' after being struck by a bus to see your body on the ground, surrounded by onlookers and a paramedic putting a sheet over your head.

Imagine if you then found someone (a living someone) with whom you could actually communicate. I suspect, even if you were the most even tempered individual when you were alive, you'd follow them day and night, shouting and screaming at them to tell your relatives and friends there was nothing to worry about, that whatever you now were, you were OK.

And no doubt you'd be in a very large crowd of other dead people, from around the world, similarly trying to get their messages through.

This nonsense of faint messages coming through the (a)ether is the complete opposite of what you would think should be the case.

As for anyone being subjected to this cacophony of the dead being 'personable' and 'natural'...only if they'd taken enough drugs.

In what way were you skeptical? Did you research cold reading? Did you record the session/take notes? Did you speak to the people who got good results afterwards to investigate how hot reading might have taken place?

I am really sorry as english isn't my first language and never studied scientific terms in english.

What is meant is:
In every house wires bend in walls, microwaves, cables in equipent, the phone itself, wi-fi and digital TV reception intercepts each other. There are accidents when bad wiring causes children experience what they think is 'paranormal'.
Everyday environment isn't good enough for simple physics experiments.

How a reader being in exact same bad conditions is able to conduct a telepathical excersise? Have you ever heard that type of phoncall- cold reading for 5yr olds.

In 90 we were getting a bachelor title in 5 or 6yrs of your secondary school(obviously not basic secondary school) age 15-21yrs old. My master degree I have in politics and history of civilistation(passed at 25yrs old).


It is actually me who laughs at some posters here based their opinions on uneducated sceptics from TV not much better than all the celebrity medium.
All history conspiracy thread is actually filled with posts made by people with no basic history knowledge here.

The thread about mediumship is based on sceptical hearsay while there are some scientific conclusions you don't know of.

But that is just me, and that is just you.
Just to tell you I worked on Wi-fi concept in 1991.

Just check first what is a mathematical propability/coincidence ratio.
Then find yourself legitimate study on connection between twins then a study about attachment between a brain developped pets(dogs, cats) and their owners.

In a laboratory conditions(one person in on me room, the other in other) score of propability which is much higher than a mathematical propability can't be ignored.

It doesn't mean that people read mind like in the movies it just mean that the connection patter is quite highly to exist.

Just check police psyhics success rate - 0 combaining all of them put together.

Okay, this didn't help. Are you claiming there are clinical trials in which participants had success rates higher than expected by chance? And if so, could you point me to those trials?

If that were ever done as you apparently are describing, with appropriate control procedures, a statistically significant result would be quite impressive. As far as I know, that has not ever been done and published in a reputable scientific journal.
