Well, the Bible itself uses "antichrists" in plural. The term only appear five times, four in 2 John and once in 3 John, one of them plural, and never does it imply that it is only one specific person, rather a trait of several.

Yep, I keep the Skeptics Annotated Bible on my Palm, and it comes in handy often. It's the full text of the Bible, with links to skeptical comments. The first comment for the book First John is:

John thinks he is living "in the last times." He "knows" this because he sees so many antichrists around.
