There are some documents available at the Glynn County Courthouse that includes some very telling information about Mr. Arbery's behavior prior to his death.

For example:

Ahmaud tried to gain entry to a high school basketball game when two police officers noticed the butt of a concealed handgun on his waistline. He took off running and got into a physical confrontation with one of the officers before temporarily getting away.

Officers noticed the butt of the gun protruding from his waistband and ordered for him to stop. Mr. Arbery ran from police, which resulted in two officers sustaining injuries: one because Mr. Arbery scratched his arm to get away;

Another example is when the police questioned him about his car being parked on the grass at a park.

The officer asked Mr. Arbery for his ID. Within minute and thirty seconds of the officer holding Mr. Arbery’s license to check his background, Mr. Arbery said, ”Nobody not even driving the car. What the **** you coming over here for? The **** you come over here and **** with me for?” When the officer began to explain his purpose to Mr. Arbery, Mr. Arbery quickly changed his conduct, launched forward at the officer, crossing several feet to confront the officer, and threw out his arms. The officer had to put his arm out to stop Mr. Arbery from colliding with him. Mr. Arbery cursed the officer and then told the officer, ”Bitch you hit me with that ****, bitch, you gonna be ****** up.

This is what his momma told police after he stole her car keys and would not return them.

Ms. Jones told the officer that Mr. Arbery might get violent with the officers due to his mental illness, if they were too confrontational with Mr. Arbery or tried to arrest him or take him into custody

After he was stopped by police for trespassing and looking into a woman's car windows while it was parked at her home.

Police officers arrived to give Mr. Arbery trespass warning about his conduct and behavior. When confronted by the officers about the eye-witness report, he lied and said he had ”gone running in the street,” and then became aggressive, confrontational, and repeatedly threatened that he would “whip the officer’s ass” if they didn't leave him alone.

After he was caught trespassing in a vacant mobile home.

Mr. Arbery
ran when confronted by the authorities. He was later caught and lied, stating he was just out running, when asked about being in the mobile home.

When his own neighbors spotted him removing screens and trying to enter into a home through a window and a door on two separate occasions.

Then he said he was interested in buying the house but ”took off running". On the second occasion, the home owner observed Mr. Arbery trying to gain entrance through a door. They again tried to talk to Mr. Arbery but he would not speak or say anything, he simply ran away.

Here's a real gem.

In 2019 and 2020, local convenience store witness interviews reveal Mr. Arbery became known as ”the jogger" for his repeated conduct and behavior of running up, stretching in front in, and then entering several convenience stores where he would grab items and run out before he could be caught; and In 2020, witness cell phone video reveals Mr. Arbery was confronted at a convenience store by employees about his theft conduct and behavior. Mr. Arbery, cornered about his thefts, chose to fight a man who worked on location at the adjacent truck stop who tried to confront him about it.

To summarize: Ahmuad Arbery was a piece of **** thief with a long history of thievery and trespassing, running away, if he could, when confronted, threatening violence and acting out with violence when he couldn't.

Greg and Travis McMichael were right to be suspicious of him and to chase him down and confront him. Arbery tried his old tactics to get away with his thievery with a physical confrontation and it cost him his life.

This is new information. The question is not really whether Arbery was jogging or not. I think he was. But he was also trespassing. It is not a question of whether he was jogging or trespassing. He was doing both.

What he was doing on the property isn't clear. This evidence does suggest that he was a jogger and he may have sometimes used that as cover for committing theft and trespassing.

But it doesn't matter. He was trespassing. Maybe he was casing the place for stuff to steal. Or maybe not. Or maybe he stole the fishing equipment. Or even stole Travis's gun.

It doesn't matter. These three guy had no right at all to do what they did. They could have and should have called the cops. The most they could do was follow him and report his location to the police.

They had no right to do what they did. It was false imprisonment. It was felony murder. At the least. And that has absolutely nothing to do with Arbery's past.

The point, and you damn well know it because everyone damn well knows it, is that you can't murder people for trespassing. You can't murder people because you catch them committing a misdemeanor. You can't see someone committing a minor crime, form a lynch posse, run them down in a pickup, and claim "self defense" when they fight back.

Under the law you can obviously protect yourself from direct threat (direct threats that you didn't directly make happen) and in some cases intervene if you see a crime being committing. This scenario meet neither of those criteria and no I will not rehash the entire last thread of arguments to prove it again.

This is just more "Oh so I guess he wasn't an angel" racists apologetics, perpetrating the common mentality that black people's lives are forfeit the moment they commit the first legal infraction.

It seems weird to me that you think it's weird. Construction sites are well-known to be endlessly fascinating to people of all ages.

Have you ever walked by a downtown jobsite with tall plywood walls for the safety of passersby? Have you noticed they they usually have small openings so that those same bypassers can sneak a few glimpses of what's going on inside?

The companies who are doing the building often put them there on purpose, just because wanting to look at ongoing construction is so ubiquitous.

The last company I worked with would set up webcams on their big projects and make them accessible online. My wife could see me at work with her laptop.
