Jim DeMint Scuttlebutt? Anything Behind Resignation?

I certainly hope Stephen Colbert isn't in consideration. He'd be a horrible senator. I love his show and he's doing far more good keeping tabs on politicians than he'd do on the inside if he were a politician himself.

No chance, in fact, he said so himself in his "out of character" interview, noting "Anyone who has said the things I've said with a straight face, directly to a camera, could never run for office."*

*or words to that effect.

I didn't realize he did out of character interviews. Too bad. I was envisioning an Andy Kaufman-like commitment to the character even to the point of acting like an arch-conservative if elected in the name of comedy! ;)

Other than washing it down with beer, yes. On the other hand, it's the principle of the thing. How can you not like barbecue?

I'll put Rudy's up against that any day. (And then there's a whole host of glory coming out of Kansas City ... )

Good point.

Pistols at dawn. :p

That's what I call crossing the aisle ...

Just in case, I was agreeing with the like all sryles of barbecue part, not the dig on Texas BBQ - as a matter of fact , on my BBQ bucket list are 2 places in Austin and one relatively near it to go to for brisket!!!
