Should have said "will."
Folks, Jim has been playing this game for years. He'll say just enough to provoke a response without making (or rarely making) an explicit claim. IMHO he doesn't believe that he has supernatural abilities, but, like Geller, he's trying to get people interested in what he's doing. If you click on the thread mentioned a few posts up, #394, you'll see an exchange Jim and I had in 2005 (same user name) regarding his $25,000 challenge. If you search at the Café for words like "psychic" and "Randi" and "Geller" etc. you'll find many long and maddening threads where Jim will imply supernatural abilities, but when pressed for details, will respond cryptically.
If Jim wants to take the MDC he knows how to apply. But seeing as he likely doesn't have any paranormal ability he won't. What he will do is make provocatively vague posts which will rile up skeptics into engaging in a pointless exchange.
Everyone's free to do what they wish, but I think our time could be better spent with people who sincerely want to take the challenge.
