This is just too depressing. Jim Bakker is back with a new ministry, new digs, and many of the same believers--including those that he rooked last time.

Bakker still owes over six million dollars to the IRS, and so nothing at this ministry is in his name. A telling quote:

"I don't own this," Bakker says, gesturing to the building. "Don't let anybody say I own this. There are reporters here, I understand. Don't you say I own this."

Disgusting.

I haven't been following the careers of the televangelists but I thought that Swaggart has been a non-entity for many years now. Isn't Robert's dead???

Nope...he had to come back and bail out Richard (his prodigal son) from his screw up at ORU. Swaggart is back on TV I am told...not sure where.

So is Robert Tilton. Haven't heard him telling people to "give that devil a black eye!" but he was still speaking in tongues and saying that god has told him there's three people out there watching RIGHT NOW, that need to pledge $5000!!!

These rip-off artists make me ill. But I don't understand the followers who got taken once, and turn around and practically beg to be taken again. I feel sorry for them, but I also want to haul off and smack them!
