Jewish dance group stoned in Hanover, Germany

Let me ask you another question.

If Quebecers are attacked in Mexico, am I allowed to throw stones at any latinos I see on the street, anywhere in the world?

Does my heritage change the "dynamic" of my racist act?

It's really irrelevant. They are immigrants, so this means they are either already nationalized, or in the process of becoming Germans. They are bound by German law, and I believe hate crimes are against the law in Germany.

but, they may infact NOT be Germans.

I am glad we agree.

motivations for violence do sometimes make the incident more complicated, yes.

justified? NO.

complicated? YES.

and as of yet, we have no idea why these Muslim kids attacked the dancers.

were they attacking them because they were Jews?

were they attacking them for doing an "Israeli" dance?

this is all yet to be determined.

But they are living on German soil, so they should abide by German law.

Maybe throwing stones is legal in Iran, even encouraged, but in Germany it's not. So therefore wherever they or their parents came from is irrelevant.

Not really, religious or ethnic motivated hatred is usually pretty straight-forward.

Surely their ethnicity or religiosity had something to do with it. And what they shouted at them is a very good indication that it was antisemitic.

were they attacking them because they were Jews?

were they attacking them for doing an "Israeli" dance?
Both of which are illegal, and considered a hate crime.

Are you saying that their Muslim or Arab background somehow makes their antisemitism more legitimate, or less wrong?

Stop moving the goalposts.

YOU claimed that, since these people lived in Germany, they were Germans - whiel BTW is, to put it diplomatically, complete nonsense. That nonsense is what Thunder adressed.

Wrong. No clue. Try again.

It is becoming clearer and clearer that you´re not in this thread to discuss this issue, but merely to make Germany look bad.

Pardalis- what were you trying to say by claiming the kids were Germans...and not Muslim immigrants?

Maybe this thread really is just about German bashing.

********.
They are in Germany, they are not Diplomats, and thus, they are subject to German law.
Live with it, or don't go there and commit crimes.

They live in Germany, they are German.
:jaw-dropp For clarity, you here claim they are German citizens.

It's really irrelevant. They are immigrants, so this means they are either already nationalized, or in the process of becoming Germans.
Moving the goalposts much? Now they're maybe in the process of becoming German citizens... Ever heard of "residents"?

But they are living on German soil, so they should abide by German law.

Ah, we're moving the goalposts again. Now, you've spouted so much nonsense in this thread that from your mouth, I don't believe it until you've cited the relevant paragraphs from the StGB (penal code).

It is becoming clearer and clearer that you´re not in this thread to discuss this issue, but merely to make Germany look bad.
QFT

Muslim immigrants to Germany, have not had the same anti-Nazi education, that German born youth would have had. Nor were they raised in a society that takes care to be extra sensitive to Jewish issues.

some stupid Muslim kids throw a bunch of rocks, and folks think its Kristalnacht all over again.

do you REALLY want to see kids thrown into jail for this?

Yes.

i'd rather them get a good education about hate.

Apparently, their lack of moral and civic education is what lead them to commit this crime.

It is becoming clearer and clearer that you´re not in this thread to discuss this issue, but merely to make Germany look bad.

It will look bad if it doesn't prosecute those teens properly.

Pardalis- what were you trying to say by claiming the kids were Germans...and not Muslim immigrants?

I don't want their heritage to be used to excuse away their crime.

They are immigrants, they want one way or the other to be German citizens. This means they should abide by our western standards. Throwing rocks at an ethnic or religious groups is not part of them.

If they want to throw stones at people, they can move to Iran.

does this apply to all peoples...or just Muslims?

You're the one who keeps bringing up their heritage as if it's somekind of justification for what they did.

Actually, by treating them as Germans I'm including them in the collective society, they should abide by the laws of the land they are living in, regardless of their origins. You on the other hand seem to say that their cultruaL background somehow explains what they did, that it sets them apart from the rest of the German population.
