Jesse Ventura STAYS Woo

Jesse Ventura was on the Larry King show recently.

The man was a Navy Seal and Governor Of Minnesota.
Anyone of you have better credentials than that?

Other than a degree in physics, a career in engineering, and experience as a firefighter with training in building construction and collapse behavior, no.

But then again, I don't think titanium and steel are the same thing. Maybe "The Body" and Terral (titanium = aluminum) should open up a scrap metal business together.

Titanium, aluminum, steel, whatever.
pwned!

George H. W. Bush believes that OBL carried out 9/11. He's appeared on Larry King, is a former Naval Aviator (the youngest at the time) who saw combat in WWII and former President of the United States (among other publicly elected and appointed offices he's held). Since the SEALs didn't exist when he served, he has equal (IMO better) credentials.

So what was your point?
Really, really pwned!

Jesse was on the Opie & Anthony show today, and they did a pretty good job of schooling him.

Part I
Part II
Part III

I particularly like the part where Anthony notes that the real weapon the hijackers had was hope; the hope of the passengers that they would survive if they didn't anger the hijackers. That's very well put.

Oh hot damn that's gonna be good. I'm a day behind so I'm still listening to Colin Quinn being hilarious. :D

I hear Ventura may team up with Ron Paul to run as independants for the 2008 US election. That will be interesting to watch. Makes a change from the usual boring polititions waffling on about nothing of importance!

The US economy, Iraq and health care are ‘nothing of importance?’ Across the pond maybe, but over here they are important and are being discussed in the presidential campaign. Perhaps you should pay more attention to the news.

What is the "Rookstag" Fire? Could that be the Reichstag. JV's pronunciation is amusing considering his mother is German.

The one thing that O & A & JV have in common is that none of them were in the SEALs.

I wonder if Jesse has ever thrown a cement block around as a kid. I used to be destructive with my friends and often when you take a hammer to a cement block you end up with cement powder everywhere. Now multiply that force by...a lot...and you'll get a lot of powder.

Haha, he's talking about his best-selling books. I'm JUST NOW remembering I read one of them. It's the most forgettable autobiography by a professional wrestler ever.

Let that sink in a second.

It was a great interview and Ventura is an idiot. I found this forum on the Opie and Anthony message boards by the way.

I loved the that other guy really used Ventura's tactics against him. The best were the parts he was playing right into it...... " I just watch the TV and the TV tells me what to think"...... Or "Who said this?"................ "George Bush in the planning room..........".

It was one of Norton's all-time great moments (and there's a long list of those).

Jim Norton said:
"No sir, we're PERFECT! We NEVER TELL A LIE!! Apple pie and baseball ladies and germs, because that's what I believe. It's all juggling and smiles and mom pecks you on the cheek. I don't think they've ever done NUTTIN wrong. Nosiree Bob, they're terrific. George Bush won fair and square."

I think all those blows to the head Jesse suffered in the ring finally caught up to him.

I can still remember when Ventura first came to political prominence, and in a television interview he mangled a popular adage: "I believe in K.I.S.S., 'Keep it simple and stupid'."

He certainly appears to be keeping it stupid.

I was in 4th POG at that time. Which battalion? What MOS?

Sam: What's the color of the boathouse at Hereford? What's the color of the boathouse at Hereford?
Spence: I don't like your attitude!
Sam: What's the color of the boathouse -...
Spence: F*** off!
Sam: What's - -you got the gun. I'm unarmed. Do something. Go ahead. Do something. DO SOMETHING.
[ Spence spills the coffee cup and Sam subdues him ]
Sam: Tell me about an ambush. I ambushed you with a cup of coffee!

I hope this isn't poor form, but (bump) for Tweeter.

As several people pointed out, by your reasoning both Presidents Bush have better credentials than Gov. Ventura. I could add others such as Senators John McCain, Bob Dole, Max Cleland, John Kerry, and Chuck Hagel - all decorated combat veterans, unlike Ventura. The latter group spans a wide political spectrum - Cleland resigned from the 9/11 commission because of what he said was Administration "stonewalling", in fact.

But none of them support the WTC CD claims. Based on your appeal to authority cited above, do you withdraw your apparent support for such claims? If not, why not?
