Nope, just recognition of pointless silliness allowed by the kindness of the moderation on this forum. They do not kick out trolls and certain other offenders. Many trolls know this so come to post here. Note, this is not an accusation - I have no interest in you basically - it's just noting a fact of the forum.

It's highly doubtful that he will be in general population. Not that I would care if he got shanked.

Same thing happened with McVeigh, the Oklhoma city bomber. State charges later were a slam dunk.

Actually it was McVeigh's accomplice, Terry Nichols^WP, who was retried by the state of Oklahoma, in an unsuccessful attempt to get the death penalty, after the Feds had failed to do so.

In which case she'd be the right person for the job.

No they don't want the guy to be able to appeal claiming he had incompetent representation.

No doubt there's some truth in that, but I also suspect that the people in the justice dept. take the consequences of the death penalty seriously.

But either way, he'll be represented fairly, which is the whole point.

If he is as seriously mentally ill as it appears he is to me he shouldn't.

He should be confined to a mental hospital the rest of his life. He's too dangerous to be free, but executing him serves no public interest nor will it have any deterrent value for other mentally ill people.

I'm pretty sure. I didn't consult anybody but it's possible someone came up with it independently or heard it vaguely somewhere first and copied by accident.

I think you are right on.

Simple murder/shooting isn't a federal crime, it's a state crime. So the feds prosecute the Congresswoman's shooting, the state will prosecute the charges relating to the other victims.

Whatever charges are ultimately filed, I'm sure he will be spending a long time (probably the rest of his life) in either a prison, or a mental institution.
