The FBI and the CIA have a long history of infiltration of both right-wing groups and left-wing groups.

They infiltrated the Black Panthers and killed Fred Hampton. This is well-known.

Why wouldn't they do the same thing - or something similar- to MAGA?

We have detailed information about the FBI internal communications in which they completely failed to take the Rally seriously.
We have detailed messages of Oathkeepers and Proud Boys planning to bring guns and attack the Capitol.
We have proof of Oathkeepers and Proud Boys coordinating with Trump confidants in a Washington Hotel prior to January 6th.
We have proof of Oathkeepers and Proud Boys moving onto the Capitol even before Trump finished his speech.
We have Trump's and Giuliani's and others Speeches calling to march on the Capitol to force Congress to pick Trump's fake Electors.

You have to be a highly motivated idiot to try to pin this on FBI agent provocateurs when there is overwhelming evidence of actual extremists working with the Trumpers to make this happen.
Of course the FBI has informants in all the Groups, but they did not listen to them, and they surely didn't ask them to push the Militias to commit Jan 6th, or they would have been better prepared to counter them and not look like incompetent fools.
The entire point of FBI informants is to make something look more dangerous than it is, and stop attacks before they might have happened: Jan 6th was exactly the opposite: something was way more dangerous than it looked, and it didn't get stopped.

They always do stuff like this. They infiltrate some group like BLM, agitate them until they commit property damage and then arrest them. They get to look like the "good guys." Their budget is increased and they get more surveillance powers.

If they do it to the left, they will do it to the right, too.

What were they doing it *for*? The movie bad guys don't do bad stuff just to be bad. They do it for a reason. So *why* in this conspiracy theory were the FBICIA trying to incite a MAGA riot at the Capitol, instead of just drowning some kittens or punching old ladies?

yes, as AS WE KNOW, in the case of Jan 6th it didn't work, since the FBI, explicitly, decided to not take it seriously for fear of pissing off Trump by telling him that his supporters were about to commit violence. The FBI and local law enforcement was told to focus on Left-wing anti-Trump protesters, who wisely decided not to show up and walk into the trap.

Read the Report that was made with your tax dollars instead of just deciding that your gut is all the information you will ever need for anything.
