Jack Chick and Sodom and Gomorrah

Well, that was disturbing. Thanks.

I keep imagining that the guy who drew the closeup of the two men kissing probably got off on it and then was so disgusted with himself that he went home and beat his wife just to show how manly he was.

What do you supposed happened to that cowering child as God rained down fire upon them? Presumably, he went to hell since he never had a chance to accept God as his personal savior.

I would presume he went to heaven, since a child can't sin.

Yeah that story is weird. Offering your daughters to a howling testerone fueled mob of perverts is Odious to me.

Me too. I don't think that the Biblical story is necessarily saying that Lot was praiseworthy in doing this. Lot is generally portayed as the idiot nephew in Scripture.

Apparently God thought enough og this "idiot" to go to the trouble of sending angels down to protect him.As I recall he later committed incest with his daughters while drunk and to me incest is much worse than adult gay folks getting together and doing their own thing.

To be fair to Lot, his daughters date raped him.

No, I'm afraid not. All men have sinned (according to Genesis), and are therefore liable to the fruits of that. The Catholics believe that he may ... may, mind you, have baptism of desire, based on his explicit desire to have been baptized had he not died in the interim, but that seems unlikely inasmuch as Christ hadn't yet appeared. Children used to be allowed into Limbo, a non-punishment part of hell, but Catholicism excommunicated it in the 1992 with the thought that much of god's mercy vs. justice thing has not been revealed to us, and he must have worked something out, and just forgot to tell us what.

Protestants, for the most part, cleaving to the Bible as they do, don't regard any Limbo as possible. In many places they state that it is a pity, but those children must go to hell, in god's ineffable justice, victims of iron-clad theology.

Well, Chick just proves the point. Jesus hates gays.

Really? News to me. Why do we have confession, then?

Confession for the forgiveness of sins is a Catholic thing, not a Biblical thing.
Original Sin is, as well.
