We're standing down in Iraq. Major victory for rational thought.
Believe it when you see it, only.

Given that Hitchens is dying of esophageal cancer, the primary cause of which is excessive alcohol consumption, it's probably advice he should have taken.
No disrespect to Hitchens, but he really made his own bed.
Anyone who thinks it only takes 19 months to completely make or break a countries economy doesn't know much about economics.
Well, I suppose you could break it in that time
We already covered your sanctimony on Hitch's cancer here:

BTW: He lived 60 years without any medical issues. His doctors give him another 10, possibly. Do you want to live forever?
Does being sick exempt a guy from criticism? Does it negate the fact that Hitchens was an alcoholic and, in many ways, a hedonist? We already covered your sanctimony on Hitch's cancer here:

In case you missed it, the part of the body most severely impacted by alcohol is ther brain.
Keep repeating: Bush did it. Bush did it.

No one here is repeating Bush did it, Bush did it!!
I suppose it takes real political leadership to blame the nations woes on the opposing party when you have control of both the house and senate![]()
WRONG! The first year was with the Shrub's budget...

Obama Statement on the Senate's Passage of the FY 2009 Budget
Washington DC -- Sen. Obama today released a statement on the Senate's passage of the FY 2009 Federal Budget:
"In Illinois and throughout the country, Americans share common hopes and common struggles. They are worried about keeping their jobs and being able to pay record gas prices and stay ahead of their mortgages and credit card bills and still have enough left over to make ends meet. They want to know that they'll have health care when they get sick - not just for themselves, but for their children and elderly parents. They want to know that a quality education and a college degree are within reach for all Americans. They want to retire with security and dignity. And they want to know that our government is doing everything it can to keep our nation safe and secure.
"The budget passed by the Senate tonight makes significant progress in getting our nation's priorities back on track. After years of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, this year's budget helps restore fiscal responsibility in Washington, and provides tax relief for the middle class and low-income families who need help most. It includes an expansion in the Child Tax Credit that I have fought for and makes marriage penalty relief permanent. And it rejects the President's drastic cuts in important domestic programs.
"We need change in this country, and this budget is an important step in helping bring it about. I commend Chairman Conrad for his extraordinary leadership in moving this resolution forward and moving America's fiscal policies in the right direction."
Cic.. you're all over the place. First, you try to bring up Hitchen's cancer as an emotional appeal, then you're dismissing that same emotional appeal with your last post. You make no sense at all. Is your sophistry that severe that you don't really care about being consistent or coherent as long as you "win?"
What? No emotional appeal to leftysergeant, just sharing information about Hitch's recent health issues.
The Charnel Expanse has not made any emotional appeal about Hitch.
Can you make sense out what you posted?
Barack Hussein Obama - two-faced bitch.
Don't be silly, to be sure. The census comes along every ten years and hires temps to help gather data. Which also happened in 2010. Yet you criticize Obama for it. That's just plain dumb. I have every confidence that Obama has not spent 5 seconds thinking about conducting the census. You'd be better off blaming Thomas Jefferson.Don't be silly. He hired 125,000 census workers.
Right because there aren't over 400 bills stuck in the senate due to filibusters.....
