how is it ironic for Israel to build Jew-only settlements on land stolen from Arab land owners, and at the same time destroying Arab homes in East Jerusalem that were supposedly built without proper legal permits?

Pallies have an edifice complex. They have this tendency to just put up houses without building permits, constructing death traps not compliant with building codes on land they do not own.

Didn't you know that the small percentage of privately-held "Palestinian" land, known as "miri" property, had been transferred from the Bedouins to wealthy Arab landowners from Lebanon, Egypt and elsewhere during Tanzimat land reform in the mid-19th century, because higher taxes and preferential treatment from the Sultanate forced them to sell most of their meager holdings?

Didn't you know that what minute amount of privately owned Arab land remained was sold to Jewish immigrants in Palestine, including many of the most prominent "notable" Arab families?

There is no such concept as Palestinian land. Either you have legal title to land or not. In most cases, so-called Palestinians do not have legal ownership of land, despite their protestations to the contrary.
