Let me be the last to say, I don't care any more.
So many threads, probably equaling the deaths of innocents in those horrid lands.
There are comments from those who know their history and are biased.
There are comments from those who don't know their history and are biased.

At some point, someone must stand up and say enough. Enough from the children of the mid-east.
Many are dangerous men. States full of dangerous men. They act as children as far as dealing decently with other living, breathing beings.

Enough from the mid-east I say, they degrade everything decent about humanity.
Help someone outside your house today and spit on these nasty warmongering elders of the middle east.

The people of the middle east have to be the least mature (evolved) of all the peoples.

An interesting commentary on "the cradle of civilization" in the fertile crescent. Irony, perhaps? Too damned bad that part of the world sits on so much well aged dinosaur wine. ;)

To underscore your point, there seems to be a desire to export a Mid Eastern share of love to other points of the world:

From what little interaction I have with Israelis and Palestinians (I use the terms in the modern context of course) are that most are rather like everyone else. They want to prosper and go about their lives yet can easily fall to human foibles and blame the at hand scapegoats for any and all problems. That part of the world is not the worst part of human civilization, nor are any of the peoples there inherently born with a diminished capacity for human decency. Mostly it is that finely aged dinosaur wine as Darth Rotor put it that we outside of that area care about.

Are there major humanitarian problems in that part of the world? Yes. Are they of global concern? Still yes. Is there a simple solution? Nothing a humanist would want to promote.

The conflict primarily serves the interests of those who do not live in Israel or the Palestinian territories.

Much blame can be laid at the feet of regional powers, such as Iran.

That's a pretty small subset of the middle east. There aren't just jews ya know ;)
The whole area isn't worth the bother any more IMO.
Drill the north.

...and yes, it may have been the "cradle", but we've moved on...sort of...not enough...

News coverage of the region distorts our perceptions of it. Murders and acts of war make the news, other things don't. People from America and Europe go there and are surprised to see that it's not constant violence and explosions.
